I bought when I got a longer ray5 20w, which came with the assist attachment already. But it was all my first time and had no idea what I was doing. So now I have a spare attachment/nozzle that won't likely ever be used. The air pump is fairly quiet, I can't hear it over the laser or exhaust fan. It's large, and has good air flow, working well. Doesn't travel across the table. Now that I have a better grasp on the laser and all the accoutrement, I probably would have searched other cheaper options. But it def doing a great job.

I received the Longer Ray5 10w for Christmas and quickly realized that if I didn’t want scorched and blackened wood projects that required a lot of extra cleanup, I would need air assist. It does exactly what it’s supposed to do. My projects are looking so much better right off the laser! Build quality is good, has enough air hose to reach a reasonable distance, and the airflow seems consistent. Just make sure you route your airline and wires in a way that the laser module doesn’t pinch or pull them and you’re golden!

I'm fairly new to laser engraving, and the air assist kit was super easy to install. It's not nearly as large as it looks and is pretty quiet. I'm not entirely too sure if it's too much air, not enough or just right, but my work looks clean when it's done. I did replace the hose with one from Petco (same size as a hose for an aquarium oxygen pump). The pump seems overpriced, but the quality speaks for itself especially with the pump being quieter than the air itself lol.

Burning wood and not getting clean cuts are a thing of the past with this addition. Well worth the investment for anyone. It's sturdy and reliable too. It's fallen off my bench many times due to taking the enclosure on and off. I wouldn't recommend testing this, but it's survived every fall.
