I have ordered a number of "trench" and "mac" rain coats and they are not rain coats but thinly lined jackets. One was the same fabrication as this (cotton/poly %) and I was worried this was going to be shiny but it's not. I read it was lined and really wanted an insulated rain coat or one with a zip out lining for warmth in the winter. This is heavier than the others I tried and has a bit of insulation, enough to keep warm without layers of clothing underneath so this is "PERFECT". London Fog came through, classy, smart and well made. Nice deep pockets, a hood, buttons to the top with a button on the interior to seal yourself up to the neck when it's windy and wet. VERY, VERY happy and for the price, it was less than the others I ordered at Macy's and elsewhere. The belt does not have a buckle but ties, which is what I wanted. The buttons have a bit of a shine to them, a modern touch. Comfortable with room for a cardigan layer if I wanted it. My husband has a London Fog Signature Car Coat and it has a removable liner, he has had it for years. I have a Burberry Mac Coat with a removable wool liner I have had over 20 years that I love but it does not fit me right now. The only improvement I would recommend is having London Fog offer a woman's version with a removable wool or fleece liner, even if just an option and an additional cost. However, this will keep me warm without multiple layers but at times I'd prefer a t shirt to a light weight sweater and it would be nice to have a coat that gave an option of a removable liner. But that is a wish for the future, I'd certainly buy one even if this one is perfect for the cold, wet PNW winters and hoping it lasts as long as our other nice rain "coats".

Update: I ordered the XXL , unfortunately I have to return this one too. Shoulders are still cut entirely to small. I even measured as instructed. Thebrestbof the jacket fit great. I was afraid to give myself a hug though. Gorgeous trench and great feel. I have searched for a plus size with no luck. Gorgeous London Fog trench! Material is perfect and length too, has a nice weight to it, can definitely be worn spring to late fall. Color is definitely tradional khaki absolutely beautiful. I like it has inside button and a hook eye at neck as well. Definitely a well made garment. Unfortunately have to exchange for the xx-large. I am 5'7 plus size (225lbs). The shoulders were cut too small right up to the armpit, barley could fasten the jacket. I normally wear xl with shirts, jackets etc, this one came in shy of fitting properly. A little disappointed in reviews I based my size on their reviews and sizing.7 Excited for the replacement to come in! I will give an update when it does

This Trench Coat is very nice! It is good value and I am delighted to have this. The neutral colour is perfect to have a pretty scarf or a warm scarf it the weather is raw. The coat is comfortable and sleeves are perfect.

I'm pretty rigorous when it comes to fabric and construction and this coat is top-of-the-line. I've tried many other trenches all along the price/name brand spectrum and this is as stylish and well-made as any of them at a really unbeatable price. I wish it didn't flare, which is technically classic, but as a seamstress I can easily take in the sides from the waist down to give it a more European look. For reference, I'm a size 4-6 and size S is a great fit with room for a cashmere sweater underneath. π

I ordered a small and it was gorgeous but a bit big, so tried the Xs. The color was more khaki and not stone. Thinking it was a fluke, ordered again and the color is definitely not the same stone as the small. Unfortunately will have to return it..

I just bought this in a 'L' and I'm so happy I did! This is the London Fog 3/4 length trench in British Khaki. I am 5'10" and temporarily 200 lbs (boo meds weight). I got this for a trip for the fall when I should be back to my usual 173 lbs self. It fits now when buttoned (slightly tight when sitting while buttoned), and no room for a sweater. I'm keeping the L because I want to be able to layer it with a sweater and I cannot give up anymore room in the shoulder width. A 'M' would not work with my broad shoulders. I love the way this drapes and that it can be tied in the back while worn open (see pic). I like this so much I will buy it in black as well for the winter and a dressier look! This is the Burberry Kensington dupe I was hoping for!

I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR A RAIN TRENCH COAT WITH A HOOD AND I FOUND THIS ONE I WAS A LITTLE SKEPTICAL ABOUT THE SIZING SINCE THE REVIEWS MENTIONED IT WOULD BE TOO BIG BUT HERE IS MY ADVICE IF YOU ARE IN BETWEEN SIZES FOR EXAMPLE IβM LARGE/XLARGE SO I GOT THE XL AND WAS PERFECT NOT TIGHT NOT TOO LOOSE JUST PERFECT AND SINC EIT HAS THE BELT I CAN JUST ADJUST IT.
