I was hesitant to purchase this light for our 55 gallon fresh water tank. I thought it would be too small. But it was so worth it. It was super easy to install and larger than I expected. The remote that comes with it has several different dimmer percentages for the light and a timer. From super bright at 100% to dim at 20%. The light doesn't over heat nor get super hot. My pothos plants growing out of my aquarium thrive off of the light. This light is a game changer from bar lights to overhead lights.

Overall the lights are great when working but something is wrong with them that impacts their longevity. I have bought three for two tanks. One burned out after a month. I figured it is what it is and sometimes a bad one makes it through. Returned it and got a new one. Now, a completely different one has burned out. The fan is running on them (so they are powered on) but the LED is gone. This was the exact same issue I had on the first one that was returned so obviously there is a defect in the product or production of the lights. So of the four I’ve had in my house, two have lasted a month or less. At $100 bucks each, that is horrible. In the picture, they are on the exact same surge protector. Go buy a different product because these will not last you long term. It is unfortunate because the light penetration is excellent. I am probably going to just go ahead and return them all at this point because eventually one will last past the return period and I’ll be stuck with a small fan on a stick. Update: The final one burned out. If you buy this may the odds be in your favor

Warranty update #2: By 11/25/2022, the light had failed again and it was the last that I heard from the seller. It is now 12/09/2022 and Amazon refunded me 80% of my original purchase. Don't buy from them unless you want to gamble. Look up the light at purchase from the seller with a slightly higher price. These folks offer unacceptable support for an outdated product at its highest price for the lowest features. Warranty update: it's 10/14/2022 and I have a new light. Seller requested a video, which I compressed and sent over. Turned the dial on, showed the light off while my other lights worked, and showed it was plugged in. New light showed up and works well! Update: it's 10/10/2022 and one light is dead. Purchased 9/03/2022... So, 5 weeks. Reached out to support. Will update as soon as I hear back. I am a bit concerned per the Q&A responses, but I'll refrain from comment until I hear back. Original reciew: Look, even the Amazon product *review* mentions these should have a timer and a remote control. The seller decidedly added every word under the sun to a title, except their product doesn't have *any* of these features. It's the old, old version of the lights. Their response was these are the dial models. Fair enough, but you're asking me to go through the hassle of returning everything and starting this process all over again. If you want the updated external power supply with a longer cord, don't get these. If you want to time your lights, don't get these or get an outlet timer. These are cooler than the newest revision, so don't get these if you want a warmer LED. The rotary can dim the lights, which may not be a bad idea if you're getting too much algae. These lights are absolutely beasts when it comes to power! Photosynthesis galore on a 24" tall tank. I'm running 3 of these lights with CO2. I hope this saves you some time.

As a long time aquarist and newbie to the high tech expensive equipment you seriously cannot go wrong with these lights. All my tanks will we getting updated with these 120 freshwater lights. Install is flawless and the light output and pop it gives the tank is unexplainable. If you’re on the fence send it. You’ll be satisfied I promise. I have not one bad thing to say. These are the lights on a 75g. I bet 2-3 of these lights in the ceiling of a bedroom would light the whole thing up

Love the shimmer too, although I don't get much of it (outside of the tank) because I have a lid that diffuses the light. When the lid's not on, the shimmer on the walls and ceiling is incredible...

I bought two and did a comparison on a 29 gallon with the fluval 3.0 Unreal how much better they were. Anubias immediately started pearling. I doubt theres any light out there quite as good as this one for the price. Unreal performance. I like the brackets but I attached the arm directly to the fans are quiet too. Cant wait to watch my grass grow in

Lasted me 7month before the light went out. Now my only option is to return it and decide whether I should repurchase or find a new light. My Aqqa lights that cost half the price haven’t given out and they even provide LED squares for replacement. It got the job done with my 60g cube but I feel there might be better.
