Very impressed with this 9x12 size rug. While it is a thinner rug, it is a very nice quality & still very soft to walk on even without any additional pad underneath. It arrived with no damage folded in a rectangle box with no plastic protection but had very few wrinkles & lays mostly flat right away. I did not notice any odor. The Denim/multi is beautiful. Love this rug! It’s definitely different than a typical rug but I can appreciate those differences. It’s comfortable under foot with a bit of a squish feeling, so easy to clean, has held up to active dogs and grandkids. When I first unrolled it it did have some weird wrinkles but after some vacuuming and just being used a week or so they disappeared. I spot clean as needed but honestly I felt it needed a full cleaning after about a good year so last summer I took it outside squirted it with some carpet shampoo and just sprayed the heck out of it with a garden hose until all of the soap suds were filtered through it into the gravel and then I moved it, gave another good spray and left it on the flat concrete to dry and it looked good as new and still does. Lays great and corners stay down as it has weight to it yet still easy to move around. Robot vacuum goes right over it daily unlike my other traditional rugs and I use my regular vacuum once a week. I plan to buy another one for my dining room and just hope I get as lucky with quality as I did with this one. ... show more

Okay, I know this rug gets mixed reviews and is often marked as a frequently returned item, but please hear me out! I initially bought a runner (the blue version) from Home Goods, and let me tell you, I loved it the moment I laid it down in my house. The colors, the style – everything was perfect. Plus, it’s not your typical "pile" rug; it’s more like a rug/mat hybrid, which makes it super easy to clean – especially with two dogs in the house. I loved it so much that I started searching online to find a larger version, and low and behold, I found the same series here on Amazon in a variety of sizes and patterns. I decided to go with the Java color in the 9x12 size since the blue wasn’t available, and I’m so happy with it! This rug is perfect for hiding dirt (dog owners, you know what I mean), and it seems like it’s going to hold up really well against paw prints. Again, it’s more of a rubber mat style, so if you’re looking for a traditional carpet-like rug, this isn’t for you. But if you want something lightweight, durable, and easy to clean, you’ll love it. The colors are slightly darker than what you see in the photos, as other reviewers have mentioned, but I was prepared for that. I included lots of photos to help show how it looks in different lighting in my living room and up close to capture the true shades. While it might look like there are pinks from afar, in real life, it’s more creams and browns. I also compared it against my grey couch and light vinyl plank flooring to help give you an idea. Overall, I knew I’d love this rug because I adored the runner I found, and I’m just as thrilled with this one. The hardest part was choosing which color/pattern to go with because they’re all so beautiful. Just be aware that the rug is a bit darker in person, but if you’re ready for that, you’ll be just as happy as I am! ... show more

My main complaint is the rug is much darker in color than the photos online. My first photo it is on top of an ivory wool rug to show contrast in color. There is a white pillow on the chair. No filters in the photo. I have seen all the photos on the manufacture website and other online sources. There is no ivory in the ivory-multi color. It’s more a dark tan. The colors are otherwise pretty. It will provide nice contrast to my couch but I just was hoping it to be a bit lighter to brighten the room. It seems excellent quality. It is very thin as in the second photo but I expected that. A good rug pad is needed. Overall I wanted an affordable rug that seemed easy to clean, dog friendly and baby friendly. It is a soft yoga mat-like material with a cotton feel. I think it will be good in a high-traffic area and will cover stains well due to the coloring and the pattern. I won’t shed too many tears if it needs to be replaced in a few years due to its affordability compared to a wool hand-loomed rug. It would make a good kitchen table rug as chairs won’t snag and also good for kitchen floor mats. ... show more

I fell in love with this rug when I stayed at a boutique hotel on the LI sound in NY. I took a picture of the label and found it on Amazon. I was shocked at how well it was priced. It has a vintage look with a modern coastal vibe. As a matter of fact, I just had a designer come to my home this week and she loved the rug and told me to keep it as I’m looking to redecorate the room. She didn’t ask where it was from or how much it was, but she said she wants it part of the room. FYI- she’s an interior decorator from Ethan Allen. I ordered three of these rugs and was disappointed each time I opened one. As many other reviews state, they do not match the pictures in the listing. (I ordered the java, beige, and ivory rugs. Ivory/Multi is pictured in the comparison picture.) That said, they aren’t terrible and all of them match each other, so I am keeping them. They are thin and soft, but not fluffy soft like normal rugs. The affordability of these shows, for sure, but they aren’t bad. I just wish the color was true to the listing. ... show more

This rug I got is EVERYTHING I was looking for to brighten up our living room! It is the perfect combination of subtle light blues, pink, and sage green which goes with the color palette I envisioned for this room. The other reviews had me nervous that the colors would be faded but I’m glad I took the chance. I’m happy to say the colors look exactly what I was expecting it to look like (even on my cell phone taking a photo of the rug, it looks 100% as pictured). The background of the carpet is a beige color which I love because I wasn’t looking for a bright white carpet. It looks great against my white/cream couch. Super soft and comfortable but still durable enough for the living room. Right now we don’t have a rug pad underneath it and it is soft enough support without a rug pad. However, we are going to purchase a rug pad for underneath it because we often sit/lay on the floor with our dog, and would like extra padding but, that’s our personal preference.
