I’m a mechanic, and I’ve been using the LLNDEI 160-Piece Mechanics Tool Set for about eight months now. Everything is still in great shape and works exactly as it should. The CR-V deep and shallow sockets have held up well with no noticeable wear, and the quick-release ratchets feel solid and dependable for everyday use. The organization of the case makes the set easy to work with — everything has its place, and it’s simple to grab what you need quickly. For the money, it’s one of the best all-around tool kits you can get. The only thing missing is a pair of pliers, which would have made the set even more complete. Overall, still a great value and highly recommended.

I needed a 1/4-drive socket set to supplement my 3/8- and 1/2-drive sets. This one is excellent--- Contents--Complete complement of of both SAE and metric deep and shallow sockets; push-button release, 72-tooth ratchet; driver-style handle; 2" and 10" extensions; universal joint adapter; 3/8-drive adapter, cross-drilled so it can slide over either extension to make a T-handle; drill chuck adapter; and a set of screwdriver tips plus a bit-holder for them. Sockets--well made, black finish chrome vanadium steel, 6-point. ID--The sockets themselves are well marked, with black numerals within light-colored squares. The deep sockets snap into the lid on their sides, so their markings show clearly. The shallow sockets however sit vertically down in individual holes in the plastic case so their markings are not visible. Every item has case markings next to it in raised plastic letters/numerals. I found those to be hard to see. I used a marking pen to carefully blacken the top surfaces of all the raised case markings making them all stand out prominently. Case--Very compact and reasonably well made, with positive gripping latches. In a video, an earlier reviewer described the case as easily releasing the pieces. I did not find it so. I found many of the pieces to be aggressively held in place. On the plus side, they don't come loose in the case during travel, but on the negative side I found some of them to be difficult to remove. I ended up throwing a small flat-bladed screwdriver into the case to use to quickly lever pieces free. I recently installed a jackshaft garage door opener on my garage, and apart from my power drill, this set was all I used for the entire install. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

Have bought many kits over the years and this one is by far the best bang for the buck. It is extremely organized and easy to follow compared to some. The case also locks the sockets in very well and doesn’t allow them to fall out when the case is closed. As well everything has a “rougher” finish which makes it a lot nicer then the smooth finish sockets that get slipper when oily/wet. Couple downside though is the Allen wrenches move around in the case when closed and the bits are pretty hard to get out of the sleeves without prying them out with another tool.

I received this socket set just the other day. First impressions are positive one. The case itself is nice. It stores each piece securely in place. The two snap locks in front aren’t the very best that money can buy, but they do work. Each piece of this tool set appears to be of decent quality and in a brushed blackened finish. This makes reading the socket sizes very easy. The primary reason for purchasing this set was for the sockets and the 3/8’s racket. Make no mistake, this is not a top of the line set of tools. I don’t own a auto shop nor do I plan on using these tools everyday. However, for a spare socket set to make any project at home or on the car, this set will do just fine. The pricetag makes it an easy decision too. The screwdriver and bits are a nice addition. Not sure if the bits will be subject to early wear and tear. Time will tell.

Bought this set to carry with me when I am working out on field service calls to use with my SnapOn 14.4v cordless impact guns and cordless ratchet. Good little set for the smaller stuff and it is self-contained so I don't lose sockets as easily. It is also nice that it comes with extensions, ratchets, and even a 1/4 inch extension screwdriver that has a solid shaft extension all the way through so that it can be used as a driver or extension even with my impact gun. Since we don't have any actual service body trucks, just lift gate trucks, having something I can just grab and go with is very important. And with thr price point, I can afford to add it to my tool collection without breaking the bank.
