  • Affordable, well made, easy to use
Great stove, very small, well made, storage bag is a plus’s( lays very flat ) . I have mine in GHB because it’s a bit small for other uses. I works well with, wood ( twigs ), alcohol burners, or solid fuel tablets . There are lots of these small stoves out there, but I like this one because it’s pined together on hinges and doesn’t fall apart when being moved when assembled. I’ve only used it a couple of time to try it out, it seems sturdy ,easy to use and handles SS water bottles and cups without issues. ... show more

  • Solid, Entry-level unit
Stainless stove is very cool. Not super lightweight but good enough for me. The twig fire loader works well though you better have a big stack of twigs...considering testing with a few bricks of charcoal. For the spirit stove, I was happy to use it as a solid, balanced base though it doesn’t offer much of anything for wind protection. The sprit stove itself is a bit heavier than expected and sports an open top design instead of a pressurized “beer can” style. I was able to boil 24oz in about ten minutes. Could be lighter and the stove could have a lighter/pressurized design to really bring it home but all-in-all, it’s a solid entry-level unit. ... show more

  • Used with Lixada and Trangia burners
Worked great, stable and folds down compact and easy to store (or lose). I just ordered another as I left mine at a rest stop in NC. Burner is good and runs almost as long as the Trangia. Overall it is an excellent combo kit and I recommend it.

  • Good price for package deal.
I purchased this to fill a gap in my cook kits. I have had gas and alcohol stoves in the past but never a wood stove. The price was right and as an added bonus, I got another alcohol stove. The wood stove itself came packaged in its own carry bag and the alcohol stove came it its own bag as well. They even included a small piece of sand paper to make the hole for the alcohol stove fit easier. It only took a few short minutes of sanding for a nice clean fit. The wood stove holds together nicely unlike the older, non-hinged, model which did not. I cant wait to get this stove outdoors and see what it can do. I purchased a DZO mug also to use with this set up. For under $40 for 2 stoves and a cup, I'm happy. ... show more

  • Perfect.
The stove snaps together easily. The burner works great. I only had 70-percent alcohol on hand today, but it still burned fine. The burner does not seem to leak, either. I've left it filled and sealed, upside down. The alcohol stays in. This will easily fit into a pouch next to my canteen/cup. Hot tea or coffee in the woods, anytime I like. Also a great little heater for those days when you just need to warm your hands and feet for a few minutes. May buy another. ... show more

  • Worked well until it didn't.
This stove worked pretty well for several trips. The metal got discolored and slightly warped from heat but it didn't hinder much. Packs down small and thin. However, after several backpacking trips, one of the permanent pins holding the sides together just fell out and now it's floppy and useless. I appreciated the form factor, maybe I need to upgrade to a titanium style. The alcohol burner still works fine. I opted to not store the alcohol burner with fuel in it because it seemed to leak some if it was stored on its side or upside down. With a broken metal stand and leaky burner I'll probably stick to isopro stove and fuel tank instead ... show more

  • Nice combination for their price work well together
Good combination for the price wood stove. Nice and flat Burns decently I could probably use some more airports to help fan the fire sometimes you have to help fan it to keep it going but once it gets going it does well alcohol stove works nice it is very lightweight the wood stove itself takes about 11 minutes from the time you get the fire started to boil small container of water alcohol stove takes about nine minutes to boil water both work well ... show more

  • Best stove for backpacking
I didn't realize how good this was until I tried another brand. After a year or so the seal started to give way and it leaked, but I found a small bottle for fuel. Eventually the frame started to warp, but a lot of that was my fault for not getting a wind screen. Do yourself a favor and buy a wind screen. They are a couple bucks. They will speed cooking, save fuel, and extend the life of the stove by not blasting it with flames. The standard 750 ml titanium pots from several brands fit nicely and quickly boil water for dehydrated meals and coffee. ... show more
