It isn't a Wilcox, but I'm very impressed for the price point. Most of us can't justify a Wilcox and this certainly does the job. Definitely not airsoft junk like I expected for the price. After reading some other reviews I thought it was worth a shot and I'm pleasantly surprised with the quality. There is a few thousandths worth of wiggle, but it still functions considerably better than than the standard non-dovetail mounts that come with most pvs-14s.

Ok, I screwed up. I couldn’t get the dovetail j-arm to lock up in this mount and I hastily blamed this mount. I was WRONG. This mount wasn’t the issue but in fact was the J-arm dovetail problem. This mount locks into my Team Wendy perfectly and has no shaking. With my now modified J-arm, it works just as well as my government issued Wilcox. Rock solid.

This product is of course a copy of a popular and government contracted mount. It works similarly to a real one, however the fitment isn't perfect and you shouldn't expect it to be, even for the price point. I had to tighten screws, add loctite, and generally mess with most of the adjustment pieces to make it functional to a degree I feel is worthy. If you are using it for airsoft and looks, go for it, it looks the part and is pretty nice. If you are hanging $5K+ NODs off of it, then just know you will have to take it apart and put it back together with added touches to make it work. It is worth the cost savings to me to put in the time and effort needed to make it work, but not everyone is wanting to do that. If you want something that works out of the box, you may have to go with the real deal. I was hoping by upspending on the copy I would have had a better go, but it seems to be working well for now as long as the loctite holds up.

I was so incredibly nervous to buy these because of the price and reviews. Most of them are pretty good, but the thing about this kind of mount is the more expensive it gets, the better it'll be, which sucks for cosplayers and airsofters. I bought this months ago and I've had no problems with it. I'm doing a Ghost cosplay and obviously, I had to get the GPNVG 18 dummy nods and those kind require this kind of mount. Now of course the mount isn't going to be perfect. Just look at the price. But ya know what? I'd say it's ALMOST perfect. It's definitely metal. It's super easy to install on a bump helmet. You just push it in the spot. It's that easy. NOW. The reason why I said almost perfect is because my GPNVG 18 dummy nods are loose in them. You can tell that this mount is designed for these nods, but they're just loose, so if you hoped to get a perfect one out of the box, better look for one at a higher price. But not all hope is lost, now it's time for you to get creative. The big reason why it's loose is because it's like there's a bit of a gap between the top inside of the mount slot, and the dovetail part of the nods. I shit you not, I solved this issue in 2 minutes by putting (I swear I'm not joking) a plastic guitar pick in-between the inside of the mount and dovetail part of the nods and it worked great. Yes, they're a bit of the pick tip poking out but it's not that noticable. I've looked straight down while the nods were in and they stayed nice and tight. I've shaken them around and they stayed in. So yeah. If you can find someone sturdy to fill that gap, it works great. It looks cool and feels pretty damn secure. Decent price for a almost perfect mount.

Lots of wiggle between my shroud and the actual mount, causing a lot of jiggle just walking around with an actual PVS-14 mounted on an original J-arm. I tried reducing the wiggle by putting some filler material in between the mount and shroud, which helped, but still was quite a noticeable wiggle, this time from the up/down joint. The product itself feels solid, and lightweight, but with the amount of jiggle and wiggle, I wouldn't put it through an actual night shoot course with actual PVS-14s. If you are looking for just airsoft/non functional display types, this will work just fine.

No wiggle on genuine Wilcox shroud. Very sturdy. Took every screw out and put blue loctite on it. Make sure to adjust the screws for every movement before the loctite dries. Unsure if breakaway feature works.

I haven’t been able to take this mount out and put it thru the torture test yet but so far this thing is tight as a drum!! Fits perfectly on my HHV ballistic helmet and holds my PVS14 as solid as a rock!! Comes in a protective case which shows care and presentation when opening. Would recommend this mount for anyone who is mounting expensive optics and has expectation that they will stay where they are placed solid.

The dovetail shoe is out of spec and the dovetail on the armasight #172 arm will not lock in. So consequently the monocular just falls off. Also the shoe was mounted backwards on the sample I received. Giant pain in the ass to flip it to the correct orientation. Typical chinesium I suppose.
