  • Adjustable bench press racks.
Easy to put together with a 17mm crescent wreck and a 17mm socket with drill or household impact gun. Took me 30 minutes to assemble. Instructions are straight forward. It's a stable unit; just make sure the stands are separated from eachother. Holds my 100-130lb setup just fine. I added couple peices of felt to reduce the metal on metal contact with the bar against the rack. ... show more

  • Sturdy, but can be unstable if not careful, but a great value and exactly as described
After receiving the rack and using this product a few times I have some comments. My comments are relative to the price, as this is a very low-priced item, and I bought it knowing this was not going to be commercial gym quality and not be able to handle extremely heavy weights. The assembly took me about 20 minutes. A wrench and a socket were the only tools needed. The construction is not heavy duty, but it does feel really solid. For me, the small footprint was what I needed for my garage, but that is also part of its limitations. I am mainly using this for bench press and my first couple of sets with light weight felt really good. I had 100 lbs + a 15 lb bar on the rack and it felt very stable. I worked up to a few sets with $170 + bar and that also felt stable. The rack holds the weight with no perceived issues. The only tricky thing is that when I put the weight back on the rack after a set, the rack is a little unstable. This is because they are not very heavy, and the base is not very large, so it can easily be bumped out of position when re-racking. Obviously the heavier the weight, the more easily the rack can get bumped out of position. If the rack was going to be in a permanent position in your home gym, you might figure out a way to attach the racks to the floor. This would really help with stability. That is not an option for me. My fear is that after a hard set with heavy weights, when your arms are shaking and don’t have much strength left, you go to set the weight back on the rack and you bump and move the rack, making it hard to set the weight back on the rack. This could be disastrous. I say this as a warning to be aware of this and try and be controlled and deliberate when re-racking the weight. For me the compromise of being light weight and having a small footprint works great for my purposes. I don’t have much room, and I have to move them around a lot. Those two things work against you for the reasons I pointed out. My comments are not about flaws in the design or a comment on the quality of the rack. The rack is exactly what it is described as, and a great value. I am very happy with the product. ... show more

  • Use at your own risk
First of all this took me a long time to put together . I had my wife help me and it still took a while . I must note that I am not mechanically inclined however . After putting it together and using it for some bench presses one of the knobs just broke off that holds up the safety catches . I contacted the company that sold it and asked for a return and they did return my money which I will credit them for and they told me to just keep it because I’m sure it cost more for them to send this back than it’s worth. I almost threw it away and then my wife decided to try and fix the broken knob. My wife was able to fix the broken knob so now it’s working again. I leave it in the same position all the time so I don’t have to mess with the faulty knob. I’ve been using it for flat bench press, barbell squats, and dips (just do dips on the safety catches and you won’t need a separate dip station or dip bar), All in all it’s a good concept and nothing else would fit in the space that I have comfortably so that’s why I’m working with this . I’m a female and have been benching and squatting 100 lbs. if I was a guy and lifting more weight I’d be hesitant to use this because I feel it’s not the most stable option and you need to be careful racking and re racking the weights .If you’re not careful this could Tip over on your face and then you’re screwed . If you’re gonna use this just be careful and I wouldn’t go over 150 lbs. when doing dips I put dumbbells over the base of the legs for further stabilization . I weigh approx 145 lbs. ... show more

  • Perfect for the small home gym! Solid!
These stands far exceeded my expectations! They are very sturdy, extremely versatile and have such a small footprint that they do everything I wanted from a squat rack. Bench press? No problem. Fits standard height benches with ease. Bent over racked barbell row? No problem. Use the safety arms in the lowest setting and the bar is at perfect height. Squats? Of course! Inverted rows? Absolutely, and with many height choices to change difficulty level. Dips? Yes, although you will want to wear gloves to cushion your hands. You can do dips by bringing the racks closer together and setting the safety arms at their highest. A little uncomfortable but totally doable. Admittedly, these take a few moments to adjust for each exercise, but if you just deal with that fact without being a lazy sop, you will love these racks. After all, you are trying to get exercise when using them, so what is a few minutes extra time for each set up? Your tiny home gym and your body will thank you. Have no doubts, just buy the damn things! Oh, and shipping was very fast. Mine arrived within 4 days. ... show more

  • Very sturdy.
Delivered very fast, only took 20 minutes to assemble, and pretty sturdy. It extendes up high enough for me to do squats and I am 6’3”. The instructions are not hard to follow as long as you lay out all your pieces and count to be sure you got everything first. One side note is to put it where you going to use it in order to adjust the feet flush with the floor if need be. My floor isn’t as flat as it should be. ... show more

  • Really good for the price, easy set-up, solid
Shipping was good and everything was included. The setup took under an hour. I used the tools that came with the item and not my socket set. The nuts are designed to not slip so are a little harder to tighten. I’m not sure if it can handle 500lbs, but as long as the bolts are tightened snuggly it should handle the weight I need it for. For the price, it is solid. ... show more
