Oh my God, these stools are awesome. The first thing I immediately appreciated is the adjustable height. With kitchen counters and bar height tables, you never really know whether a stool is going to sit slightly too high or slightly too low until you actually get it home. Being able to raise or lower these to exactly where you want them is a huge advantage. Then there’s the appearance. These genuinely give me an old western saloon vibe. I half expect to walk into my kitchen after a long ride across the desert, hop off my horse, and approach the bar with my spurs ringing. Thankfully, nobody has challenged me to a duel over the last cup of coffee yet. All jokes aside, they’re gorgeous stools. The black PU leather has a really nice appearance, and I particularly like how easy the material is to wipe clean. That’s exactly what I want around a kitchen or bar area where spills are eventually going to happen. Comfort was another pleasant surprise. Bar stools aren’t always something I associate with being particularly comfortable, but these actually are. The seat has enough support and cushioning that they’re comfortable to sit on rather than simply looking good. The swivel function is smooth, and combined with the adjustable height, it makes the stools much more versatile. Different people can adjust them to their preferred seating position instead of everyone having to adapt to one fixed height. Construction also impressed me. Once assembled, they feel extremely solid. The base, support, adjustment mechanism, and seat all come together into something that feels built like a tank rather than lightweight decorative furniture. Assembly deserves special mention because it was ridiculously straightforward. The way everything is packaged, most of the work is practically done for you. You’re essentially assembling the base and support, attaching the seat, and you’re ready to go. I had both stools together in roughly 15 minutes. No afternoon sacrificed to the furniture assembly gods. I used to have mid-century-style stools next to my kitchen island. They were well-made and relatively expensive, but the fixed height, lack of a swivel function, and limited back support made them less convenient for everyday use. I wanted to try this new set of stools because they seemed to offer several features that were missing from my previous ones. The stools arrived in a fairly large box, but everything inside was individually wrapped and well protected. Assembly was extremely easy and took less than 10 minutes for both stools. The main bar simply needs to be pushed into place, and the only parts that require tightening are the seat and the bar. Other than that, it is basically a push-and-assemble setup. The seat appears to be made of a leather-like material, although it is difficult to tell exactly what it is. Regardless, it has enough cushioning to make the stool very comfortable to sit on. I especially like how well this pair looks next to my kitchen island. The design blends nicely with the rest of my furniture, including the dining table, so they look natural in the space rather than standing out. The built-in footrest also makes the sitting position much more comfortable, especially for longer periods. Height adjustment is exceptionally helpful to make sitting comfortable. Most importantly, the swivel function is a great feature. Being able to turn the seat without having to move the entire stool makes getting in and out much easier. These LIVELYGLOW Bar Stools are a beautiful fit to my kitchen décor. My kitchen island is my gathering spot for all discussions and these bar stools are comfortable with stylish seating that matches my cherry-style cabinetry, stone countertops and my kitchen flooring. The plush, high-resilience foam cushions and curved backrests provide good quality support almost as comfortable as my movie theater recliners. The concealed rubber ring guards my vinyl kitchen flooring and my cherry hardwood floors from scratches and squeaks. The faux leather upholstery handles daily kitchen activity effortlessly and clean quickly with a damp cloth wipe to maintain a clean kitchen. The assemble was an effortless setup. I assembled both stools in about 10 minutes, no complicated hardware for me. Assembly is straightforward, as the package includes clear written and pictorial instructions, all necessary hardware, and the required Allen wrench. The wide base and central shaft are constructed from sturdy black metal and the overall solid foundation. A helpful tip for users: once assembled, ensure the height-adjustment lever is on your right side when seated. To find the optimal height, I recommend lifting the lever to allow the seat to rise to its highest position, then using the footrest to climb into the chair. Once seated, you can easily press the lever again to descend to your preferred comfort level. The height can not be increased while sitting in the chair. The cushions offer a firm, supportive feel, and the stools are comfortable for extended use. It contours to the curvature of the lower back. Additionally, the seat covers feature a discreet, hidden zipper for easy removal if needed; just note that you will need to detach the base from the chair to access the zipper pull tucked under the bottom felt.
