The Snake Plant is an upright species with firm structure and hardiness characteristics. Being that it is a perennial, the Sansevieria will live for years when properly cared for.
  • RIPPLED WITH SHADES OF GREEN: This interestingly shaped houseplant features horizontal ripples across the leaves, ranging from lighter to darker shades of green. Description

Sansevieria Zeylanica 'Snake Plant' is a charismatic, hardy succulent that grows tall and upright. The Mother in Law's Tongue houseplant spreads from its rootstock, developing long, tapering spears. These leaves are leathery and variegated with shades of light to dark green. Horizontal patterning spans throughout the plant, giving contrast to its overall shape. Rigid foliage mildly twists with growth, lending diversity to the Devil's Tongue appearance. Snake Plant will thrive in most indoor conditions, it is an extremely durable species with drought and low light tolerance. For best results, grow this houseplant where it can receive moderate to bright indirect sunlight and watering once every one or two weeks after the soil has dried. For an earthy statement, grow Sansevieria with a round terracotta pot or try a modern presentation with a white or copper planter box. Snake Plant can stand alone or alongside close relatives such as Black Coral Snake Plant, Sansevieria Cylindrica, Sansevieria Masoniana, Sansevieria Moonshine, Sansevieria Trifasciata Bantel, Sansevieria Trifasciata Prain or Sansevieria Trifasciata Zeylanica. Low light house plants such as Croton Plant, Dieffenbachia, Fittonia Plant, Philodendron, Pothos Plant, Staghorn Fern or ZZ Plant may also work in unison with the Sansevieria to create an intriguing decor collection. This snake plant is beautiful! It came perfectly wrapped, and had a plastic bag rubberbanded to the pot so the dirt did not come out. It had a plant stick to properly keep the plant in the pot. Came packed really well, no dirt anywhere! This snake plant is just beautiful, and hearty, and has lovely shades of dark and light green with speckles. Plant and plastic pot combined is about 12 inches tall. I'm thrilled and can't wait to repot it and watch it grow! Update: I have bought FIVE of these wonderful plants. I love the plant. I was very impressed with how it was shipped. It came in a very sturdy and well packaged transport box. It got a few dings but the plant was fine no damage at all.Its very healthy. It's much larger than it looks in the picture. It had roots growing out of the bottom of the pot. Roots growing around the top edge of the pot it came in. So I put it in a larger pot right away. While doing so I saw it had 2 young shoots growing off the root base trying to work they're way to the top. They had a lot of roots attached to them. I carefully removed them and potted them as well. Ive only had it for a few days. So I'm hoping they'll continue to grow. Then I'll have three plants for the price of one. I highly recommend this company. ... show more
