I am so excited to use this surf rod. It's the perfect length and stiffness for what i was looking for, and the rod tips all look very strong. I am usualyl not used to using rods this large, but according to the label on the rod, it can handle 30 lb line.

I’m primarily a freshwater fisherman but last year we took a trip to the beach. I struggled with my small rods and after watching other fisherman catching fish with these big surf rods I knew I needed one. They are crazy expensive. This one however fits a budget and it’s very well made. A good sensitivity allows you to still feel the bottom even through this big thick rod. It cast smooth and long enough to keep the rod tip above most waves. This really is a good rod both for an experienced fisherman or a novice.

Ordered this rod so I could complete my son's gift as he is looking for a nice setup so he could start exploring catfishing since he now has an interest in going out with me when I do. I was looking for a rod that could handle a pretty decent weight and some action. So far this one seems like it will be able to do just that. The rod make is a nice solid one from the feel down the body of the rod, the eyelets and overall reaction from movement. I am looking forward to putting to the test and if any of my current observations are proven wrong I will definitely be updating this review
