I got my son 2 sets for his 3rd birthday and they have been played with everyday since. We build houses, tunnels, tables, bridges, etc. Whatever his mind can come up with we can try to build it. They are extremely durable, hard plastic. Fairly easy to connect and stay together pretty well. They are easy to wipe clean and bright and colorful. So far, no negatives to these other than they take up a little space to play with and store. Very worth it as I can see many years of use out of these for us. I would add that I bought a folding storage ottoman (48", I believe) and one set fits in it perfectly. I plan on getting a 2nd to stash the other set in when not in use. ... show more

These blocks are awesome! We ended up buying 5 sets because they were so useful. They can be used to keep a toddler away from fireplaces, Christmas tree, etc. and they make great forts, reading nooks, tunnels, whatever! I would start with 2 sets to begin your collection!

HOURS of fun. This is hands down the BEST toy I have bought for my two year old. The neighbor kids ages 2 to 10 love to come over and play with them as well. Even my 13 year olds love playing with the blocks and their little sister and building things for her. They often build cages to put her in, but that's another story. And it's fun for adults too. What I love about this product is how QUICKLY you can build a house, fence, maze, chair, etc. Instant fort! Of course my two year old can't really build anything yet, but she loves playing in whatever we create. I've included photos in my review and you can see that these blocks are stable enough for small kids (with parental supervision) to stand on. I had to buy a second set. One set is definetely not enough! I often bring these blocks with me to parties. They're a great icebreaker for that awkward children's birthday situation where you don't know anyone. Kids can lots of fun with these blocks because you can create almost anything (a tower, a fort, a tunnel, etc.). They're also sturdy as opposed to foam letter blocks which my kids rip up relatively easily. I took off one star because they require a good amount of strength to interlock together which is tough for my 1 and 3 year olds. However, I tend to play with my kids so I can help them do that.
