This solar panel has been a fantastic addition to my Ring Spotlight Cam Battery. Good quality, easy to install, performs as advertised. Have been using it for several months now with no issues. It was even knocked off the side of my house during a storm by a large falling tree limb but still working great after being reattached.

Long story short: I bought the solar panels and it was about a week before I was able to mount them. I tested with one panel on my garage roof where I have the greatest sun exposure. Literally full sun all day, no obstructions. I fully charged my Ring spotlight battery before installation and mounting. Within the first three days the battery was at 4%. I checked the battery life, noticed that the charge wasn't keeping up with the drain rate, so I adjusted the motion detection sensitivity and zone figuring that major foot traffic along the sidewalk was probably contributing to the issue. I checked for the next three days and the battery charge was a little better. We were now entering week 3. I turned off all camera and light functions for the next few days to let the camera fully charge. After 3 more days of not being able to use my camera the battery showed about 50%. I turned the camera back on, leaving the motion detection really restricted and turning off the light function. The next day the battery showed that it was draining. For the next 5 days, it was cloudy or rainy nearly every day. The solar panel did nothing and the camera completely died. I didn't want to leave a bad review and I wanted to see if the panel would work when the sun returned. Sun returned, we are in the middle of week 4. I tried to pull the camera up on the app and it was not accessible. Waited a few days to see if it would light back up. It wouldn't. I am now 2 days past the return window. I contact Amazon. They say they cannot help. They suggest I contact the supplier. I email the supplier a full outline of what has happened. They do not respond. I wait another week and email them again. They do not respond. It has now been 5 days since my second email. No response. The product doesn't work consistently or reliably. I can't imagine depending on this for tracking security footage. I wouldn't trust it to do what it's supposed to. I especially wouldn't given that they supplier doesn't stand behind their products. 0 stars for the product. 0 stars for the seller.

I’m so happy with this solar panel for my Ring camera! It only takes a few hours of sunlight to keep the battery at 100%, which means I never have to worry about charging it manually. It’s well made and feels like a high-quality product. The best part is that it allows me to install a Ring camera without running wires, so everything looks clean and tidy. Update 03/25/24. Well the 2nd solar completely conked out. It only shows being connected never actually charging the camera. So I guess it's a 50/50 chance that the charger works in my case. I am purchasing a ring brand. The connected but never charging is irritating...especially getting up on a ladder and swapping batteries every other month. SMH...DO BETTER! I bought this charger awhile ago to install on the back door camera. Finally installed it today, after getting a low battery warning. Didn't take more than 10 minutes top! This includes dropping a couple cable staples and having to climb back off the ladder a few times. The stick on drill template included made everything super easy and quick. I highly recommend this charger. The cord is long so placement of the charger has many options. The low battery did show the panel charging but it initially took a minute or two. However once I swapped out the battery for a freshly charged one, the charge notification was instant.
