It’s not too interactive. You can feed it but it just stops swimming after about 10 minutes then you take it out and put it back in. Store it outside the tank when not playing with it. We have a 3 year old and she wants to keep putting her hands in the tank and wants to take it out a ton. I suggest having a top to this because it doesn’t come with one. But it’s pretty and simple.
