The pieces of this set are heavyweight and substantial. They are smooth and have a sophisticated look. I like that the set is expansive and offers me a mindless way to give thoughtful gifts in the future by buying add-ons from the same family of dinnerware. I like that I get to be mindless and thoughtful at the same time. Half the price of comps from Pottery Barn and I didn't have to go and walk around that store or any like it where you're liable to require refinancing if you choose to fill a cart during your visit. I. AM. OBSESSED! Originally, I wanted the light modern green color, but it was unavailable. However, I got these in the light blue and still love the color combination! The plates feel very durable as far as food and cutlery go. Keep in mind they are ceramic, and there is always a chance they could break with added stress! The plates and bowls both have a nice weight to them. They are not too heavy as other ceramic plates can be, but also not super light either, making them feel durable and well-made. Additionally, they have a slight curve to the edges, so the plate is not super flat and can control some small amount of liquid, if necessary, though it will not contain large amounts either. As for the bowls, they have a larger capacity than I would have guessed they would! I reheated a chili from Wendy's in one, and the entire chilli fit well inside the bowl without being overly full or spilling!

We're keeping them. The blue is a little darker in person. The plates seem smaller than my old ones but after a side by side I think it's because there's no lip. I'm getting used to their flatness and the shape of the bowls. I like the minor color differences between the pieces. Microwaving and washing in the dishwasher just fine. They're pretty and the pasta bowls can be ordered separately. They were packed well and arrived whole. Been using them for a few weeks and no issues yet.

Arrived 100 percent intact. Well packed and double boxed. Really good looking. Dish washer, microwave and oven proof. These will be our outdoor dining dinner ware this summer. Got a service for 8 at a great price.
