We bought this ladder in the hopes that we would be able to use it for multiple purposes. We were pleasantly surprised on a couple things: 1. It was perfect for small projects. We used it for replacement of lights on an 8 ft. ceiling and took it outside to remove Christmas lights. Felt sturdy on both types of ground. 2. The size is definitely an advantage. We keep this ladder in our house. It is easy to maneuver between walls and door frames. Super lightweight. 3. Large top step. I felt balanced and comfortable using it during my projects. A nice little perk is the magnet on the work station. You could keep screws, nails, and tools secure so they don’t fall. Most ladders don’t have a feature as convenient as that. This is a fantastic step ladder! It’s extremely stable and feels very safe even when you’re up high on the top step. I wasn’t sure we were going to have room for a new ladder, but it folds up very compactly. It hardly takes up any space when stored. It’s also extremely light weight. It can easily be moved from one room to another with very little difficulty. It folds up very easily as well which was definitely a pleasant surprise. It seems like ladders like this are usually difficult to get folded back up but it is shockingly easy with this Little Giant ladder. It’s definitely worth the cost and is a great buy. The Ultra ladder is 4 feet in length when closed, which makes it less cumbersome to carry up/down stairs (like my prior 6-foot ladder). When in use, the 3rd step/platform is 29 inches (2.4 feet) from the ground. The only design constraint appears to be the absence of a locking mechanism when closed. The Little Giant Ultra 3-Step Ladder is super lightweight and easy to move around. It’s great for both indoor and outdoor use. I’m only 5’ 2” which makes it perfect for changing a lightbulb, grabbing something from a high shelf or painting indoors; plus I can easily take it outside to do yard work. The large third step makes me feel very secure when standing on the ladder and I love how easy it is to fold up and put away. It’s a sturdy ladder and specialized in the fact that it has a work platform allowing for a large, safe work space. There are other step stool type ladders that do the same thing. Not sure this one warrants the price versus some of the other cheaper versions as those are sturdy as well. This ladder appears to be built to last longer than the cheaper ones, so if you’re rough on your equipment then this would be a good choice. ... show more
