I've had this jacket for about 2 months now and I am impressed! First a note on size. I usually wear a small in jackets, so that's what I ordered. It fits fine with room for layers, but I sorta wish I tried the x-small instead. According to the chart, they are almost the same anyway. There is no stretchy element to this jacket, but if you are on the lean side, I recommend not sizing up. For reference, I'm 5'4". This jacket is very well made and thoughtfully designed. I got the blue and love the color. Everything pictured in the item description is accurate and looks even nicer in person. The material is substantial but not too loud. I have very little confidence in DWR coatings in general, but this one is as good as or better than most. My jacket still looks like new, not picking up grime from regular wear. I find this jacket to be quite toasty, as advertised and like a ski jacket. As mentioned, I can fit a lot of layers under if I need to, but have not often needed to pile on my regular outside winter amount. Here are my favorite parts of this jacket: smooth interior: a taffeta-type lining was high up in my criteria. Slips on and off over fleece and sweaters with ease. hood too, it does not grab onto hat. warmth level: very toasty but lightweight. Lofty insulation and I do believe the claim to a heat reflective layer. Also very windproof with draft flaps that really work. hood is full thickness (same as the rest of the jacket, same smooth lining) and fully adjustable with cord locks that are easy to engage and disengage. I was a bit concerned that a removable hood meant a lesser hood, perhaps more drafts or somehow annoying, but I like it just fine and always use it. pockets: hand pockets are warm and comfy, well-placed. Generosity with pockets is a must for everything I buy. Inside pocket is a mesh goggle pocket which I was planning on modifying but it turns out that it works really well as a hammock for my binoculars. I still may add some drop-in pockets like I prefer. Also love the small sleeve pocket and of course I use the security pocket. I'd like an outside chest pocket too but can't complain. This jacket gets above-average marks for pockets. looks and feel: jacket looks and feels a lot higher quality than expected. well-designed and well-made. I'm still struck by how nice it is every time I put it on. The trim looks really polished and details like the zipper and such seem top-notch. I don't have any complaints, I am really enjoying having this jacket! I spend some of every day outdoors and hate being cold. Though I've been casually looking for a new winter jacket for a few years, this was the most compelling candidate yet and I'm so glad I ordered it. I definitely recommend this brand and will probably order other things from them in the future. The value for money on this one can't be beat!

This is the best coat I’ve ever purchased. It’s comfortable, warm, and aesthetically pleasing. It still gives you a a shape without the boxy look of a winter coat. This thing has so many pocket you don’t need a purse. It’s great! And the arms come down for your thumb hole. It’s awesome. Try it, you won’t be sorry.

It is going to be my new winter coat. This company thinks of everything, lots of pockets , inside liner that you can fasten to keep out drafts, soft lining in all the right places, and adjustable hood. I wish L.L. Bean did as good a job. After using for a while there are some annoying things. The inner sleeve is extremely long with a thumb whole "so that you can go without gloves" It is a winter coat! I basically turned it and sewed it back. A stretchy closing would have worked better. Also the hood is a little shallow but usable if it is not too cold. Zipper won't cover your chin, not enough material. Still not bad for the price.
