  • Simple and Effective
Style: Heater Core Backflush Tool
This makes backflushing heater cores a breeze. Very nice that it will fit multiple hoses sizes without having to have multiple adapters. Has a good solid weight, feels like quality is good.

  • Worked great for flushing the cooling system on my boat's Diesel engine.
Style: Heater Core Backflush Tool
This is a good tool. Since I was working on the interior of my boat it was nice that it didn't leak at all when I would set it aside. The only suggestion I would make is to buy the one with the air inlet unless you are absolutely certain you'd never need it. Also, while it's labeled as a heater core flush tool, this will work to flush the entire cooling system. A couple of hoses in my boat were slightly larger diameter than the spray tool, but I was able to rig an adapter using a foot of flexible tubing from the hardware store. ... show more

  • This tool should come in a gold case
Style: Heater Core Backflush Tool with Air
This tool is amazing. I bought it for my 98 jeep cherokee xj and it worked a hundred times better than i hoped it would. My absolute favorite part about the tool is it has a built in pressure regulator so you dont burst the heater core which is what i was super nervous about in the first place, especially this being my first time doing a heater core flush. But with this tool attatched i had my garden hose on full blast and before i put this tool on my jeep i sprayed it to see how the pressure was and it was super soft even after using the adjustment on the handle. Put this on my hose with the hose clamp so it wouldnt leak and it was all done in 5 minutes. The air button is what made the process so quick and super worth the extra money. Run the water through and send a blast of air every few seconds with the water and now i have flawless working heat in a jeep with almost 300k miles. And saved me hours and hours of labor time pulling my dashboard and hvac box just to replace the heater core. It really cant be more straightforward or easier to use and super effective. ... show more

  • Fixed Super Clogged Core No Problem.
Style: Heater Core Backflush Tool
Correct usage is key! I was skeptical dropping the money on this, but it outperformed my expectations. I recommend using a hose clamp as well as my core was so clogged it was blowing out without one. Also it did nothing to my core when trying to flush from the way the coolant flows, soon as I reversed it this blew out all the gunk instantly, freeing my heater core and giving me heat back after owning this truck and never having heat! The core was so clogged no water was coming through with this thing full blast when trying to flush in the direction of the coolant. It worked amazing, beat all of the parts store and cheap solutions out there instantly. Buy this, you'll have a clear core or end up needing a new one because your core was done anyway. ... show more

  • My Lisle Tool experience
Style: Heater Core Backflush Tool
I am a professional mechanic and have actually never had the opportunity to try this tool before until now. I have a Chev Blazer that I physically replaced the heater core on 10 years ago. Well a few months ago it became plugged and I was getting ready to spend a day removing the whole dash board again for the core replacement. I saw this tool on Amazon and figured I really had nothing to lose, but a lot to gain. By the way, you can isolate a bad core by feeling the temp in the two hoses at your heater if accessible. If operating correctly both will be hot when engine is at normal operating. If plugged, you will only have on hot (inlet) the other one (return) will be much cooler or just cold. Okay back to my use of the flush tool...I simply disconected my hoses at the heater at the firewall and install a length of 3/4 to the inlet and 5/8 and the outlet, then installed the Lisle flush tool in the end of the outlet hose and started the "back flush" process. I flushed it with water only in that direction for about 25 min until I had water flowing out at a good rate. So I reconnected my original hoses and topped off my at the coolant at the radiator ( newer cars at the reservoir ) with the engine running and was quite amazed and relieved that it restored my heater core to work like it was new again. I am still amazed at the simplicity of the tool and it's ability to safely clean such a difficult and labor intensive part on my truck. I did not even have to use a chemical additive. I am not so sure that a heater core with extreme sediment build up ( in engines where coolant is not used in a proper mix with water) would benefit from back flushing but it is worth a try, perhaps combining a radiator chemical flush solvent after the initial flushing of the core through the attached temporary outlet hose. After adding the additive let it sit in the core for at least a few hours (follow directions on specific product label) then flush again and see if the flow is restored. Good luck to you.....I hope your Lisle flush tool saves you the time and money it saved me! ... show more
