This is by far the best cutter for tubing I have found. Ive tried the little one with a v blade and the ratchet types. Those all crush and end up cutting at an angle. This cutter does the best job at a square cut. The blade is super sharp so be careful! Its definitely worth every penny.

We purchased the 90 25 185 model to use as a tool in the manufacturing of medical devices. It works perfectly for cutting, but the safety clip broke in less than an hour of use. The clamping point is very weak and breaks easily, which poses a safety issue for staff. We had to implement a different 3D printed safety clip to solve the problem. ... show more

    • Cuts through pneumatic tubing like buttah! That locking tab though…

I finally found the perfect cutter for really tough 1/2” nylon pneumatic tubing! Makes a very nice flat cut on the face of the hose which provides a good seal with push in fittings. However, the very important locking tab could have been made to be a bit beefier (i.e. made thicker/larger/not made of plastic) as it looks to be pretty flimsy and I’ve seen other reviews where they’ve been snapped in half, which is a negative especially for the price of a premium Knipex tool. If they instead used the same rotating lock design as their mini bolt cutters, or like the latching ones typically used on tin snips, it would do a much better job of holding the cutter safely closed, as you don’t want these extremely sharp cutters to spring open in a drawer or toolbag just from rattling around inside. It looks to me almost as if the locking tab was a design afterthought on an otherwise sturdy, well-built pair of tubing cutters. ... show more
