Would have given five stars if it wasn't for one installation issue. The nut that the hold down bolt goes into was installed side ways in it's keeper area. So you are on the ladder wishing you had four hands only to find out that the bolt will not thread into the drive motor. Took it back down and looked into the hole to see the nut turned to the side. Removed the eight screws holding the case together and replaced the nut in its proper orientation. All good, turned the power on and the awning works again. ... show more

You have to support the awning roller after disconnecting the old motor. It’s almost 10’ in the air, so you need a very tall step ladder or a long board Another person on a ladder could hold it up, but it takes at least 10-15 minutes to put in the new motor, so they would be stressing. Once you get in in place, the small set screw is also tricky to get in the right spot. The good news is the new motor is quieter and faster than the old one. ... show more

The original awning motor on my travel trailer broke. The motor still worked, but the metal that mounted the motor to the awning arm broke. Since the mount was not available as a separate part, I purchased this motor assembly. It was an exact fit replacement the only difference being the connector. It was a simple matter to cut the old connector off the wire on the trailer and crimp new solderless connectors on which plugged into the new motor connector. ... show more

This part was very easy for me to install by myself. Works great. I did need to cut the wire ends from both motors to use the old/existing connectors with the new motor to make thing simpler for me. Otherwise a fairly straight forward swap.

Perfect fit for my 2014 Grey Wolf 26dbh The wire harness was different (the pigtail was a double dc style, still positive and negative.) I opted to transfer the motor off my broken head instead of splicing the wires. Could have gone either way but this way was quicker and cleaner. Motor transferred easily.
