  • Nice Belt, But You Should Know These Things Before You Buy!
Color: Navy Blue - Twill Weave
I generally like ratchet belts, and this is a good one. If you haven't had one before, however, there are a few things you should keep in mind: 1. These belts are great if you would like to have a great fit. With a conventional belt, I frequently have the problem that the third hole is too loose but the fourth is too tight. Also, my waistline tends to shrink and grow over the course of the year(s). With this belt you can adjust it down to the millimeter so that it's always a perfect fit. 2. Get to know and be comfortable with how the belt releases. With my first rachet belt I ignored this advice, and struggled to release the belt when I wanted to remove my pants. 3. It seems like every rachet belt I've owned, including this one, has some difficulty remaining consistently attached at the "fixed" end. In other words, you may occasionally find that the buckle releases from that end of the belt, which is annoying. I think this is because whereas the adjustable part of the belt is unlikely to always attach at exactly the same place, the fixed end is, by definition, fixed, and so any stress on the belt always tugs at the exact same point. If this happens more than once, I simply cut off a small piece of the belt (it's PLENTY long) so that the prongs attach at a new place on the belt. 3. Consistently the buckle on a rachet belt is thicker than the buckle on conventional belts. You may have difficulty fitting it through the belt loops, and the easiest way to do so may be to disconnect the buckle, thread the belt without it, then reattach once threaded. All of this may sound like a hassle, but it really is not, especially when considering the comfort and control these belts provide. This is a well made, durable belt, constructed with quality materials; I think breakage will be extremely rare. Moreover, it goes well with shorts, slacks, a suit. It's appropriate for basically any situation requiring a belt, Highly Recommended! ... show more

  • Serious belt that is suitable for work
Color: Green - Twill Weave
The media could not be loaded. This nylon belt/metal buckle combination seems spartan, but is completely functional and maintains a professional appearance. The construction is durable, yet light and flexible. You can hook some heavy tools on this belt, without worrying that they will fall off. It has a bit of elasticity to it, but it really only gives about 1/2 inch and that requires some serious tension, so you might not even notice the elastic part. It looks conservative enough to wear to the office or boardroom. As you can see in the photo, the buckle is solid metal with a durable matte black finish that seems to be anodized, or at least it is quite scratch resistant. The length is easily adjustable (by cutting it), and the locking mechanism on the belt buckle is very solid in every respect. I thought I would upload a video of the way the lever on the buckle moves, so you could get some idea of the sturdy spring they loaded in there. I think you can tell how hard I have to press on that little lever by the dent it puts into my fingertip. So this handsome buckle won't be unexpectedly letting go of your belt just because you accidentally brushed up against something. You can have confidence your pants will stay up. The buckle is a quality piece of metal workmanship, and feels like it won't be falling apart. While it is very nicely finished, and you can be proud to wear it, it also has some fairly squared off edges that would probably leave a mark on the back of your guitar, your car door, or other things you would otherwise prefer not to scratch. So consider what kinds of activities you might be involved in, this belt might not be suitable for all sports or rough-housing for that reason. I got the olive green one and it goes well with just about any khaki, black, or bluejeans. I wear it pretty often! ... show more

  • Nice Adjustable Belt!
Color: Gray
This review is for the LionVII Ratchet Elastic Stretch Belt for Men with Automatic Buckle for Men, Adjustable Trim to Fit 27-46" Waist (Gray) I have really gotten to like these types of belts that are infinitely adjustable in size. Some of the other belts I have incorporate pre-cut notches on the inside but this belt has a different design. This belt buckle has a spring loaded "claw or gripper" that securely holds the belt to the tension you set it to. If the belt is too long you can unclip the buckle end and trim it to your desired size (do not cut the end that you insert into the buckle). The belt comes in a variety of colors besides the normal black / brown option of most belts. It has a bit of stretch to it but it isn't so stretchy that it won't keep your pants fastened. Overall I really am impressed with this belt and can recommend it. ... show more

  • Size to Fit. Great Buckle.
Color: Black
This is a a fantastic belt. It comes oversized and can be customized by trimming the belt to your size waist. Simply undo the latch on the underside of the buckle to remove the belt. Size it to your perfect fit and cutoff the excess with scissors. Reinsert the belt into the buckle and lock to secure. The buckle is clean looking and not too obtrusive. The belt easily goes into the buckle and tightens just be pulling it through. To release there is a little lever you lift up on. The belt itself is not too thick so fits most belt loops. This is a very stylish, lightweight belt that has now become part of my regular rotation. Very nice. ... show more

  • Comfortable, effective belt
Color: Black - Twill Weave
I like this belt. The buckle seems well made and durable. I did trim the belt to size, which was easy to do. The color and material is good-looking and functional. Throughout the year I will intentionally fluctuate 10-15 lbs as I practice massing and fat loss diet phases. Having the flexibility in adjustment of the belt will be nice compared to notches in a traditional belt. The mechanism holds securely and is easily adjustable. ... show more

  • Great looking but hard to take on and off
Color: Dark Khaki - Twill Weave
I love the look of this belt, but taking it on and off is a bit tricky. There is a small latch that needs to be depressed and then have the belt slipped in or out. It comes very long and then you have to cut it too size. The instructions to do so are very clear and the belt cuts easily.
