We bought the twin XL for my daughter's dorm mattress. It fits perfectly. There is no noticable noise from the cover. To be fair, the mattress is a dorm mattress with a weird cover on it. There is a little noise when she's moving and shifting on the mattress but it's slight and could be from the mattress itself or from the cover. It's only noticeable if you are on the mattress though. Based on the textures of the items, my money is in the mattress making the noise and not the mattress cover. I tested the waterproof soft of the cover by pouring water onto the cover with paper towels on the other side of the cover. It remained dry after several minutes. It was easy to put but I did have an extra set of hands because I did have to wrestle with the mattress. You could do it by yourself though if you are stubborn and don't have help. I can't comment at this time on the durability of the cover but it seems very well made. The seams were well constructed and the zipper seemed to be strong. If anything happens to this cover over the year I'll be back to update but this momma is happy with the product and I'm fairly confident it will serve my daughter well during her first year of college. She'll have plenty of other things to worry about this year but worrying about having a middle of the night accidental stain on her mattress won't be one. ... show more

These were easy to put on my mattresses. Fit perfectly and they are very well worth the money. Help to keep the mattresses clean, and to keep pet dander from getting into the mattress. We have 4 indoor dogs and a cat. We will purchase again if ever needed.

We bought 3 of these 5 years ago when we got attacked by bed bug- replaced mattresses and put them all in these encasement- still have them, washed often and still waterproof and great. They are very quiet. We recently purchased a new mattress and bought a new one for it. I ordered 3 of them just about two weeks ago and only two have come so far. Still waiting to get the 3rd one, shipping was delayed 3 times not really worth the wait. The material is kinda cheap but no chemical smells. I'm not sure if they are truly water proof or not but I can see they'd probably keep bed bugs from getting into your matress if you have memory foam. Their a bit too loose fitted. They went on the twin beds very easily because how slippery they aare.i can't forsee them lasting very long. Not comfortable 100% comfortable to lay on I'd suggest a soft mattress protector over them. ... show more
