This Linenspa Zippered Mattress Encasement is the easiest mattress encasement I have ever used. I washed and dried this prior to use to remove a slightly chemical smell. Unlike others, this zips on the short edge, so it is simple for one person to put on. Just unzip, put it over the end of the mattress and pull it on like a sock. I was easily able to put this on a 14" mattress, going from one side to the other, without another pair of hands. This stretched to fit my mattress perfectly. It is well made and nicely sewn. This is semi-sheer, unlike other covers I have used. I covered this with a Linenspa waterproof mattress protector for added protection. ... show more

This mattress cover is not cheaply made. It has a stretchy material and is very firm fitting to the mattress. I love that part about this mattress cover. It fully encloses the mattress and has a zipper. It not noisy when moving around on. Unfortunately I was buying it for my senior dog and his incontinence. Some of it still does seep into the mattress so unfortunately cannot use for the purpose I needed it for. Everything else is great. If someone needed it for allergies etc I could see this working for dust and other issues like bed bugs. ... show more

Honestly, it took longer for me to find the "Write a review" button than to shimmy this gem onto my squirmy mattress. I've used mattress encasement products before, and asked my son to help, expecting a fiasco. Lo and behold, I had it all put together and on the bed before my son got upstairs. The fabric is nice. Feels comfortable and sturdy. The fit is generous; plenty of room for my thick mattress.
