Great Product! Using this as a firm foundation for latex toppers for an awesome nights sleep! This product came quickly in compressed form and was so easy to set up. After much research, I found the answer for a comfortable, long lasting bed - a heavy duty innerspring foundation (LinenSpa); and two layers of Dunlop Latex 2" toppers (Pure Green 100% Natural Latex Mattress Topper - Soft - 2 Inch - Cal King (GOLS Certified Organic); first "medium" and then top "soft". I don't think Sleep Number comfort is any better and it's a fraction of the cost to build your own hybrid mattress using this product as your foundation! For years, we have tried different beds and never succeeded in getting a good comfortable nights sleep, or, if so, it only lasted a few weeks til the non-latex foam started failing and ruts were made. Recently, due to lack of sleep, I took up this project again of finding the "right mattress"; regardless of price. I read many customer reviews on many name brand beds, watched infomercials on Sleep Number vs Perfect Sleeper and researched for hours on hybrid mattress and DIY. I came to the conclusion that the best reviews were on hybrids that had a firm foundation, medium middle and soft top. Longest lasting foundation seemed to be a heavy duty innerspring mattress, not microcoil or pocket coil as they feel good in the beginning, but they're weak and give out quickly. The best foam is this Dunlop natural latex so I got a 2" medium and 2" soft and used together on the older queen coil (innerspring) mattress in the guest room and we tried it out for a couple months and found it has been a wonderful change and change our sleep (our health). Desiring to move this same configuration to a California King in our room, I went looking for an innerspring mattress with firm heavy gauge coils between 7-9 inches, but wasn't finding that exact match, so went with the LinenSpa 6" innerspring mattress with heavy duty coils and topped with the Pure Green Natural Latex, one 2" medium and a 2" soft and the result was another fantastic sleeping bed for just over $600 in Cal King size! Because the product combination of HD coils and real latex are all the longest lasting materials, we expect lots of great sleep for a long time. If one of the components seems to fail over time, it's easy to replace just one for a couple hundred and buying all over is still an awesome price! IF a couple has very different preferences in firmness feel, you can cut the toppers in half and mix or layer them differently. For example, you can put the medium firmness on top on one side and the soft on top of the other side; buy a total zippered mattress cover of 4" height and arrange the halves inside as you want. You could also add a firm topper among the choices to use and buy a twin one to cut if only one person wants a very firm mattress on their side. So glad we found this information and hope it's helpful to others.     • We bought the mattress to replace a water bed mattress and it fit beautiful for California King
The day the mattress was to be delivered we had a winter snow storm so I was concerned about it being outside while I was at work. That was not the case - even though it was delivered after I got home it would not have mattered the mattress was well package in triple plastic and the outer layer a box. We began to open to the mattress and it is quite scary, lol it starts filling with air and growing as we undo the packaging - then it popped open! We bought the mattress to replace a water bed mattress and it fit beautiful for California King. We left some water in the waterbed mattress to act like a box spring and this mattress fit perfect on top. Very comfortable and a little movement from the mattress below.     • It's BASIC, CHEAP but serves it's purpose! DON'T EXPECT FRILLS for the Price!!
For the price, how can you complain? I wasn't looking for anything fancy or highly supportive, such as memory foam, etc. Basically, if you're trying to find the cheapest way to not sleep on the bare floor, this will cover it! It arrived in a box, rolled up and is extremly heavy (approx 65lbd- CAL KING) when in the box. My husband is 6'1", 200lbs and now that it is out of the box and has its shape, he is able to move/flip over like a rag. ... show more

We purchased several of the Linenspa 8" hybrid mattresses for some newly built beds in the hunting cabin last year, & really liked them. They are great, but we spend probably less than 50 nights per year at the cabin, & generally only 2-3 nights in a row. When it was time to replace our bed at home, we decided to try using this with their 5" gel memory foam mattress on top to accomplish the same thing, but with a little more thickness, since it obviously gets used much more than the cabin beds. The combination certainly works very well, & is cheaper than their 12" gel memory foam hybrid, as well as many other options. ... show more

    • Great low-budget "first mattress!"
We bought the cali king size, and for the price, it's excellent. Yes, we can feel the springs, but really only if we lay funny to begin with. A small adjustment and we're comfy again. Our 1 year old sleeps with us, and I swear he started sleeping better than he was in our pillow-top, memory foam, all-out fancy mattress! (If anyone is wondering why we ditched that, it was a 3 generations hand me down, and we had a flood that molded it.) All in all, we're happy with it and definitely recommend it, especially as a first new mattress. ... show more

    • Solution to back pain
This mattress was a good solution to trying many other brands of memory foam toppers. I think memory foam is going to have a very limited lifespan because foam breaks down from body sweat just like a sponge breaks down from use. I purchased a green tea and bamboo mattress king size last year and it just gave me the worst back pain. I tried without any relief air mattress and foam. I got this one little over a month ago and every nights sleep has been good. Hope my experience helps ... show more

    • My lumbar spine might break apart at any moment. I'm going to have to pay for chiropractic care.
This mattress is way too thin and uncomfortable for me. I wake up throughout the night and I started to have back pain since I started sleeping on it. Right now, unfortunately, months later I feel as though my lumbar spine will break apart at any moment. It's really sad my now-husband is so cheap. Mattress arrived rolled up in shipping box, & was easy to remove. Carefully removed plastic cover of mattress & mattress was immediately opening up, unrolling. I was having difficulty sleeping with my old mattress, so I decide to lay this mattress on top of old. Now I wake up without back pain, or aches ! ... show more
