This is our second purchase of this comforter. We love the look, color and texture. Unfortunately, when I washed the first one the stuffing in side shifted so it no longer fit in the covering. Things got even worse when we tried drying it. We ended up throwing it away. Because we did like the look, we bought another one. It’s a beautiful comforter when it first arrived. Didn’t hold up too well, began fraying on the top. Even with washing on a gentle cycle, the internal stuffing moved around and bunched together and I can’t seem to smooth it out. I ended up throwing it out. Didn’t last a year.

The item I received did not match the product photos. It has various width stripes instead of the more random pattern in the photos. I believe it’s called “Illusion Lines” because the stripes can appear dark or light depending on how the light hits them. I decided to keep it because I don’t mind the different pattern. You should note that despite the set being “machine washable”, the instructions on the comforter says to use an extra large industrial washer. Also note that Amazon will default to “ship in product packaging”, which is completely open on one side. Should you choose that option, I imagine it would get quite filthy in shipping, and you’d need that industrial washer. ... show more
