ive had this mattess for about two years now its not too soft not too firm, opening the package was a fairly easy process (came rolled and “inflated” pretty quickly). I will say sleeping or laying on my side definitely causes some pain in my hips but I dont sleep like that too often. ive spent a lot of time in this bed and i dont really have any complaints besides that, i got a full size and its the perfect size for just me. full sized sheets fit this bed well its not too thick but i do recommend getting full sized sheets with deep pockets, a queen sized comforter fits this bed really well (paired with the cheap metal bedframe i also purchased on amazon) and it was a pretty good purchase for the price! seeing as a lot of matresses seem to run pretty pricey. i think ill have this mattress with me for a while and i think the hip pain is something i could easily fix with a memory foam mattress topper! i give it a solid 9/10

5 years and this is still the best mattress I've ever had. Its thick, and comfortable. If you like your mattresses being "sturdy and hard", don't buy, this is the type of mattress that you sink when you lay on it.

We've purchased dozens of mattresses on Amazon so we know the ups and downs of buying a mattress sight unseen. First... this is very comfortable. Not too soft... not too firm. Importantly... there are no chemical smells. It swelled up to full size pretty quickly. We let it rest and expand for 24 hours before lying on it. This is a hybrid mattress...meaning it does have coils like a traditional mattress, with a thick layer of memory foam over the coils. So far, there's no complaints about sleeping hot or sweating.... I do recommend getting a waterproof mattress cover if this is gonna be primarily used by a kid. Memory foam iwill soak up spills like a ... piece of foam... protect it with a cover. A good bargain for a 10 inch mattress. We would buy again

I bought the full sized version of this mattress about 9 months ago, and thus far, have been very pleased. It's being used on what I would describe as a lightweight, faux tube steel platform bed (also from Amazon). Also, it's being used without box springs. This is a hybrid mattress, which I had not tried before. Too-soft mattresses are 'out' for me, as they can cause all kinds of orthopedic fun that I don't need. This one is very comfortable, while being fairly firm, but honestly, I would have been fine with it being even firmer. I think what softness there is, is due to the top layer(s) being memory foam, and since I'm in an age group where even a little sagging in the wrong areas during sleep can cause you to walk very funny, and make strange grimacing faces, soft mattresses are to be avoided, no matter how well-meaning they may seem. This one does a good job, and at a reasonable price point.

.*** 3 1/2 Year UPDATE. I am still sleeping on this mattress. A few months ago I ordered a new bed frame and the bed is more comfortable*** So I researched Amazon off and on for a few months looking for a full size mattress in a box under $400 that had the best reviews, so I took a chance on this one in December. It looks great. No fiberglass coming out like in other bed reviews . It feels perfect around the edges at each end with a soft but firm feeling. But the middle of the bed isn’t firm enough and sinks in quite a bit when you sit on it and lay on it. I really wish the rest of the bed felt like the edges of each end of the bed. And when you’re standing in front of the bed and you look straight at it you can see that from the left and to the right side (which is worse) of the middle of the bed never fully straightened out and filled completely out after opening and airing the bed up for a couple of days. It looks like a bed that’s been slept on for several years. I thought this mattress was supposed to be firmer. I’ve also been waking up with headaches and both of my arms and hands having fallen asleep. I don’t think I’m getting proper blood circulation in this bed. But other than these uncomfortable issues it’s not horrible. It’s ok to lay on and watch TV, you just sink quite a bit in it like memory foam mattresses even though there are coil springs in it. My previous mattress, I had it for so long that the springs recently started coming out so at least I’m not feeling that anymore. But I really wish I hadn’t bought this mattress. I will never buy a mattress in a box ever again. I will go into a store and try each one out in person and buy a mattress like I did with my previous one. There’s obviously no way of sending this mattress back. But this is just my review of my recent experiences. It might be a fine mattress for a child up to a teenager but for a 56 year old adult with arthritis it’s not very comfortable sinking into the mattress
