This is a very useful spotlight device that could be used in the living room, kitchen, bedroom, hallway, or even in your store or office. This light features its own junction box, which will be placed above the drywall in your home. You would need to have a switched or dimmed power line going to the general area where you want to install the spotlight. The spotlight is designed to just clip in with Springs to secure to the drywall. It has its own junction box, so if you have a power line in the area that is switched, you can turn it on and off, which would be perfect. Typically, if you were using an electrician, you would tell him where you want the spotlight placed, and he would cut a hole as specified by the manufacturer in the exact size of the spotlight so just clip in the place with no molding or anything of that necessary no paint touchup actually if it’s done correctly And he would take a wire and drop it down to an available outlet and along the way install a switch this should all be done behind the walls. There’s an expression among electricians. It’s sneaking a wire through a walk and be a five minute job or a five hour job the depend on what you run into in the wall somewhere else of insulation that gets in the way some walls have braces supporting the studs and they get in the way You wind up, sometimes opening up more area in the wall than you anticipated and going over of the studs, making notches in the drywall and then doing plastering work to fill the notches. However, once you have the power one that is switched in the area where you wish to install the spotlight it’s a very simple install just open the junction box connect the black wire from the supply and the white wire from the supplies to the respective wires in the junction box that are black and white, but it secure, mechanical connection and then place the supplied wire lock nut on the connection and turn it. Clockwise, also connect the grounding wire to the junction box itself. Turn the power back on and switch on the light that your electrician has just installed; your light should now be fully operational. The spotlight could be placed over a couch, so that if there is adequate light for reading, or it could be placed on a counter in a store during a sales situation to illuminate the items, particularly jewelry and diamonds, which can actually glow with a sufficient spotlight placed on them. ... show more

Seemed bigger in the pictures, but it is good quality. Directions state that you need to cut where you need to install this but the directions are pretty straight forward. It came securely packaged and shipping was fast.

I'm consistently impressed with this company's products, and this recessed dual-downlight fixture is no exception. It features small, adjustable LED spotlights, offering some control over light direction. The housing is crafted from high-quality aluminum, though the trim ring is plastic. This fixture is dimmable with an LED-compatible dimmer. I'm currently using the Lutron Caseta series without any issues. Installation was straightforward; it replaced a 4-inch recessed light, requiring a slightly larger hole and wiring. Having access from above made installation easy; it might be more challenging without it. Considering the price, this fixture offers excellent value.
