Just like some other reviews one of the lamps arrived a little bent up from shipping but I guess that is UPS fault...I simply bent the frame back into place and popped the shade back out. They are great lamps for the nightstands, the plug is convenient, and they are pretty!

I'm not sure why so many reviewers are saying this is bright, except that it seems many people are buying this in a set of 2. The light leaves much to be desired. Partly my fault, as I didn't notice before purchasing that it takes just a 60 watt bulb. I wanted this to cover a decent but not overwhelming amount of space and this definitely doesn't cut it. Design is nice and simple but don't buy this unless you're looking to light less than 5 feet of space in your home. ... show more

This is a nice, sturdy little lamp. I have it on my desk and it gives me a nice bright light; I especially like the pull chain. I don't use the outlet on the base.
