I purchased two sets of these headphones for my four year old grandson (one for our house and one for his) and we both give them a thumbs up! Below is his review followed by mine... My grandson, he is four, likes that they match his “video pad” (his kid’s Fire tablet). It is super cool that the cord is easy for him to plug in by himself and that the “ear pads” (headphones) are easy for him to hold and put on by himself. He said the bag is awesome and he likes putting his them away and getting them out. As his LaLa, these little things are high on the priority list for a review. I was pleased immediately with the packaging and the quality of the headphones out of the box. The padding on the earphones themselves is impressive and I can tell they are comfortable when he wears them. The volume control is great! Even turned up all the way, they aren’t loud enough to be too loud for a child’s ears. I tried them on to check the volume first thing. I really like that I don’t have to listen to his videos constantly with these but I can be confident that he isn’t blasting his eardrums out either. (And yes, we dolimit his video time.) They seem durable but I do think that if a child were really rough adjusting them, they could snap the metal pieces that are inside them after a while. So I would keep an eye on younger kids with them until you’re sure they understand how to adjust them. I like the added option of attaching two sets together so that two people can watch the same video and share audio. The way that they fold down for storing in the bag is an added bonus too. Electronics are so cumbersome and these are easy to fold up and store, with the cord in the bag. I would definitely suggest these headphones for your littles if you’re wanting to allow them some video time without having to listen yourself and you want the assurance that they aren’t blasting their eardrums. ... show more

Just got these headphones and it's very good quality! It feels very legit and well made. - love the feature of sharing the sound with another set of headphones without a splitter. works perfectly! the volume is that same though for both sets connected together - good noise cancellation but will test on flight. I can hear myself talk like I have ear plugs in when I wear this. will be testing on an airplane soon. - soft cushioned band - not flimsy - nice color but not overly tacky looking - cord is detachable so you can pack it safely - you can pause the video with the clicker on the cord - NOT bluetooth which is what I want b/c I don't want any extra radiation around my kid's head - 1 year warranty ... show more

So I dont know what people were talking about when they said they could hardly hear anything from the headphones. My 2 year old had her iPad volume up maybe 3/4s of the way and when I was holding them I could hear her show playing clearly. Which makes me question the volume control part of these. Those are the only bad things. I got these for our flight overseas and they were perfect. My daughter loves having her own headphone to watch her shows and listen to music. They seem very comfortable and she never had issues hearing what she was watching over plane noises. They're also super durable since she usually unfolds them herself and tends to over extend them. At the beginning of the school year I purchased several of these headphones to use in my classroom. The headphones fit snugly over my students's ears and are so convienent when two kids want to listen to a story together. I will tell you that they do break, however I think its a combination of user error and product issue. Have no fear though, their customer service is out of this world! Love, love, love these! These are truly the best headphones for kids. We only buy LilGadgets now (for our kids, as gifts, as replacements to the ones our kids lose) because we have found them to be the best on the market, hands down. I love the volume control because it not only protects my kids' ears but keeps me from constantly having to nag at them to turn it down. Don't worry, they'll be able to hear just fine because of the noise-cancelling feature that cuts through the external sounds. The SharePort makes it simple for them to watch the same thing - easily - which reduces arguments. Golden. They fold up for travel, are super durable (so when they get thrown during a tantrum they don't break!) (so we hear), and the kids love the look and color options. They say for ages 3+ but our 2 year old wears them just fine. This is honestly the best $20 you will have spent in a long, long time. The headphones are perfect for my 5 year old in his kindergarten classroom. Only problem was that the auxiliary jack broke within the first month of use. Easy enough to get a new jack off Amazon though. For the price though the auxiliary jack shouldn’t have been an issue. Overall I’m still happy and my son loves them. So when my youngest (2 yrs) was going on his first plane trip, I knew I had to order another pair. This brand is fantastic. The kids find them comfortable - even at a young age.
