  • GREAT for a Wind Sculpture support
Product: “KABOBEARING 10 Pcs R6-2RS Double Rubber Seal Bearings 3/8" x 7/8" x 9/32", Pre-Lubricated and Stable Performance and Z3V3 Level, Deep Groove Ball Bearings.” These bearings are perfect for my needs: These bearings are very smooth in movement. (not stiff, and with little “play”). The 3/8” center hole of the bearings matches a very common 3/8” bolt size. With a wide range of heads/shafts/lengths, etc.. to work with. Very versatile. The 7/8” OD slips perfectly/snugly into a 3/4" copper pipe “coupler” fitting. The combination provides a Great way to modify an existing Wind Sculpture to make it even better. The Big Problem with most wind sculptures is that they don’t rotate horizontally on the support pole with the changes in wind direction. That additional effect along with the sculpture wind vanes/blades etc motion GREATLY enhances the visual effect. These bearing OD fits perfectly inside a 3/4" diameter copper pipe coupler fitting. The fitting sits on top of a 3/4" copper Wind Sculpture Support pipe which runs into the ground to support the sculpture. The 3/4" vertical pipe enters the bottom of the coupler and locks the lower bearing at that end in place. That bearing also has a 3/8” bolt coming up from the bottom through two bearings and out the top. The upper bearing slides down into the top of the pipe coupler. (The pipe coupler has a center detent to keep the upper bearing from falling down past center, or it can be separated as needed with spacers.). The TWO bearings provide better lateral support against the horizontal wind pushing on the shaft. A nut on top of the 2nd bearing locks it all together. The bolt then extends on up and through a 1-1/8 ID copper “cap” overlapping the top of the pipe, so it keeps water out of the pipe, but can freely spin. Another nut on top of the cap locks it in. The Bolt extending further out the top then will then attach to the wind sculptures vertical support. I expect these bearings to last a LONG time with continuous movement in both directions with almost constant wind currents through summer heat and winter cold and ice. ------------ ... show more

  • Excellent R6 Bearings for My 3-D Printer
As of late, my hobbies have revolved around stepper motors and bearings. These small R6 bearings play a crucial role in my 3-D printers, laser engravers, and CNC machines. They securely hold a worm gear threaded rod, allowing precise movement along the X, Y, and Z axes. However, when one of these bearings fails, it becomes evident in the final project, such as extrusion issues in 3-D prints. Initially, I tried various troubleshooting steps: lubricating the threaded rod, re-leveling the bed, and updating the firmware. Unfortunately, none of these efforts had any effect. It was only after closely observing the fault that I realized the problem lay with a sticky bearing. The ball bearings were clogged with dirt and golden retriever hair. Even thorough cleaning with solvent and an ultrasonic bath, followed by repacking with lightweight grease, didn't fully resolve the issue. Enter the Kabobearing R6 beauties. These high-speed bearings, although beyond what I strictly need for my 3-D printer, have been a game-changer. Their built-in insert keeps dirt and debris out, ensuring longevity. Plus, the pack of 10 means I won't have to worry about replacements anytime soon. In summary, I'm thoroughly impressed with these bearings. They strike the perfect balance between affordability and quality—exactly what my 3-D printer requires. Consider them as repair parts or use them in your next fidget spinner build! ... show more

  • Great bearings, Smooth rolling, Good price
These bearings are very smooth rolling. Will be perfect for my 3d printer projects. I haven't used them in a final product yet, but wanted to test them out a bit for the review so I printed up a fidget spinner just to test out the smooth rolling of them. These aren't ideal for fidget spinner projects since they do have enough resistance that the spinner slows down fairly quickly, but I expect that is due to the rubber seals and perhaps the viscosity of the lubricant used. These aren't really meant for that sort of application though, so it wasn't really a fair test. I expect I will find these great to use for the projects I have in mind - first two projects up being a dry box, and a filament winder. The filament winder so that I can buy >1kg rolls and still be able to use them in my AMS. This review isn't as technical as some of the others, so I recommend you take a look at a few of the other reviews in addition to this one, as there is some great information in those. In particular reviews by Gary and Nancy, and Jimmy are great. ... show more

  • Cost effective and quality!
I typically use these for 'spinner' devices that come off my 3D printer. These are super silent, as promised and the inserts seem to be a very reasonable ingress barrier for dirt and debris. They spin freely and are definitely smooth in movement. They weigh roughly 11.5g, however my scale isn't sensitive enough to catch the first decimal place. OD is pretty spot on for 7/8's. For the price and quantity, I'd have no problem getting these again for future projects. ... show more

  • Great bearings for 3d printer projects
I got these ball bearings for a few 3d printing projects that I have been working on. They roll very smoothly, and seem to be of good quality, at least for the low-pressure applications that I need them for. One of the applications is a spool roller for my 3D printer. These bearings work very well for this purpose. The only thing I noticed is that the blue dye used for the side panels seems to stain my fingers - and therefore it may stain my 3d prints. The attached picture is from just installing those 4 bearings into the rails, so minimal handling. In the picture, it does not look like a lot, but under daylight, it is very noticable. Otherwise, great product for a reasonable price. ... show more
