    • Clean, amber-glass light with a simple beauty about it, with adjustable brightness

I'm sad to even mark this beautiful little table lamp down a star, as it "does" have nicely cast amber/brown glass, which is nice and thick and defect free in my item. However, the downside was that upon assembly, those three arms that rise upward (acting as stems) from the central post/arm, were not straight at all. Thus, I had to carefully but very forcibly man-handle two of them, just to get them from hitting one another once the glass shades were installed. I'm pretty sure I weakened the structure by having to do this, but I did manage to get it looking right and free from touching one another. And mind you, this was not a "bent in shipping" issue, this was a poor manufacturing process type of thing. Anyhow, other than this issue, the body of the fixture was well finished and although it has a sort of spray-painted look to it (versus a well-done, hand-rubbed, or even better looking faux bronze look to it), it does have a very nice appeal once fully assembled and especially so, after it's turned on. Once the light hits those amber glass shades, they really pop, creating a fractal pattern of light onto the immediately surrounding surfaces, and a beautiful, warm glow at the low-light setting, which my second oldest daughter is loving as her now, nightlight. Overall, I'm pleased with this light and would have been more so, had I not had to fix it during assembly. The media could not be loaded. This is a beautiful glass desk lamp made of very solid brass, which you can use at your desk to read or on your nightstand, as it dims to a true nightlight. It has a built-in dimmer, so you could turn it on, read your book, and before you retire, turn it all the way down to its dimmest setting and let it stay that way as a nightlight. During the night, if you want brighter light to get up and get a glass of water or something else, you can simply turn the dial and have all the light you want. This Desk lamp is very well-built and sturdy, and it gives good value for your money. It’s a brass fixture with green glass globes. The globes are very substancial and heavy making me feel that this is made of quality material. Lightbulbs are included. The temperature inside is at 3000° Kelvin for the light white bulbs or candelabra bulbs. In reality, there are 26 W lightbulbs; 6 W is actually equivalent to what used to be a 40 to 60 W light. If you’re thinking in terms of incandescent power, it’s plenty of illumination for reading. See attached video for a closer look Setting up an installation is extremely easy. It should take a total of three minutes to assemble, install, and plug in this fixture, and you’re good to go. ... show more
