The assembly was expected and I finally realized that the black separator between the posts needed to be removed to screw it together. Could be I am in my mid 90’s and never assembled anything. The lights really brighten up a dark corner and easy operation turning on and off.

I needed this lamp for my son’s room and when we opened the box, we discovered that it was black wrought iron looking material, rather than the gold tone that I’d ordered. He decided that the black was fine with him so rather than return it, he put it together. What he found was it is easily assembled and provides dimmable lighting, which is a good feature. The shades to the lamp are plastic, which is less than desirable, but not really apparent until you touch them, so okay I guess. Considering the lamp that arrived is completely different than the one I ordered - it’s pretty decent. ... show more
