Hard to beat this camera/light combo. I think it’s pretty clever. It lights up my porch and keeps an eye on things at the same time. The video is super clear, and I was surprised at how well it handles at night. Installation was as simple as changing a lightbulb, and the app works great. It notifies me if someone’s at the door or if it detects vehicles, and I can check the feed anytime from my phone. Definitely feels like an upgrade for home security. I like that I can move the direction of the camera in the app so I can point it down on the porch or look out into the yard.

I love the idea of this product and have loved using it. It lights up the door near our garage while also providing quality recordings day and night. The camera is easy to set up, offers security notifications that keep me feeling safe as well as knowing what is going on at my home.

Check out my first picture. If you buy one of these, this is what you're going to see most often in the app, unless you have the camera mounted indoors, line of sight from the router, and 5ft. or less away. I bought mine around the Black Friday deals, leaving the cost of mine well in the single digits, so my expectations were low. I also checked out the other reviews and the quality of the images looked very impressive so I figured it was worth a shot. All I wanted was a camera that would reliably connect and give me a good picture of the craptastic corner of the living community in which I reside. I've got lots of undesirable things going on outside on a semi-regular basis and I live in Wisconsin so I just wanted something that I could use as a deterrent and also so I don't have to go outside to see what is causing loud noises out there at any given time. It's just too damn cold to be doing that all the time. Also, I'm a Network Engineer by trade and I've done some Cybersecurity work so I have to admit to being very skeptical putting a device that clearly cost a lot more to create, ship, market, and sell all the way from China than it costs inside my home network. Especially when the device uploads all of its' data to the cloud and uses AI to determine and describe what is going on whenever an event is generated. I realize that any device you put inside your firewall can potentially transmit any data that it sees back to home base to be used in any manner they see fit. For that matter, devices can be used to remotely infiltrate your home network if that was their intent. As it turns out, none of these are concerns for me because the radios in this device are horrible. Mine's mounted next to my front door, some 10 feet or so from my router, which is an AX1500. There's a wall in between, and it's mounted inside a light fixture, but the wall has no metal inside of it, just drywall and fiberglass and a tiny bit of wood, leading me to believe the metal in the fixture is what's scrambling/blocking the signal just enough to make the camera unusable 80% of the time. I also tried extending out the socket it's plugged into with one and then two socket extenders. Neither made a significant difference. If you look at picture #2 you can see the night vision and the image quality of this camera are both fantastic. That picture is also after it rained. The app leaves little to be desired; it doesn't nag you unnecessarily to upgrade nearly as much as it could or make you buy a subscription, although the AI generated descriptions and cloud stored videos are super handy while you have the trial. I don't have the need for all of that. The still photos that it takes when a motion event is detected after the trial period expires are completely useless. I suspect this is by design. This device has a lot of tech packed into a very small package that works pretty well with the glaring exception of the radios which could barely be any worse than they are. You should also understand how to turn off app notifications on your device before installing this one, as it will ping you every time motion is detected, which is literally dozens of times a day where I unfortunately reside. You're not going to want to keep these turned on. If I lived in a house in the country, or maybe even the suburbs, that had just a little bit of traffic going on, AND I had some kind of wifi repeater or mesh device close by the device to pick up the signals off of this thing, it might be worth keeping; but for where I'm at and what I'm using it for this thing sucks. I gave it two stars because it might suit someone else's use case as I've just described, but it certainly doesn't suit mine. I've got a spare mesh router I could fire up just to get this thing possibly working and stable but I'd rather just return it and get one that has better radios and probably 5GHz to try in case the 2.4 doesn't work like this one didn't. Also just for comparisons' sake I have up to 14 devices, including this one, concurrently attached to my home network and none of the others have issues with connectivity. It's really too bad because the image quality, night vision, and motion detection are all pretty great. EDIT: This is now a 1-star item. First one stopped working completely, returned the first one, got replacement today. It's even worse. Connected for a few minutes and then quit. This one at least still turns on but it won't connect to the network. They get an A+ for cute packaging, though. Stay far, far away.

I like the picture quality day/night, it’s motion sensors to start recording with motion and it works great! The down side is the actual light bulb only turns on with motion then shuts off when no motions detected and it’s dark walking too far from the front door because I’m out of sight of the bulb, it doesn’t just stay on.talking through its convenient if your in the shower etc. too.

I bought the lightbulb camera to keep an eye on my front yard. I was considering a doorbell camera but went with this because I have a light socket right above the door and screwing this in felt a lot easier than messing with my doorbell. The camera works as both a security camera and a light, so I’m not worried about losing a light in the lap to place a camera. I like that I didn’t need any tools to set it up—just screwed it in like a lightbulb, and I was good to go. The video quality is impressive, and I’ve gotten some pretty clear footage even in low light. The light also provides colored night vision which I really like. The app works as I would hope. It makes it easy to check what’s going on, and I like getting notified if there’s anything interesting happening, I love the alerts and the ability to customize the alerts type

Edited 11/28 the company reached out and gave me my money back which was nice. Im sure this will be good for some people but not me. I got it just wanting a camera I could use. No subscription, no service. Got it set up, said no I don't want your trial. First 3 days were great. It wouldn't work in my porch light but I got it up and it was cheap. Used it for what I needed. Then yesterday I got an alert that my 3 day trial I refused was over and now it constantly drains my battery, sends 20 alerts in 30 minutes or none all day and bugs me constantly. If it had just left me alone to use it would have 5 stars. Now im at 30% battery halfway through my day and not for anything useful.

I ordered these cameras based on a recommendation from a friend. They arrived quickly in good condition. I plugged them in. The directions were straight forward and easy to follow. I ran into a problem when I could not get the app to pair with the cameras. I reached out to Luna AI customer support via email and got a call from them within a hour. The technician could not figure out the issue so I was connected with Yamin who was so extremely patient and attentive with me doing trouble shooting. We confirmed the cameras and program were functional but that my high security router was blocking the completion of the pairing process. I reached out to Gryphon who made my router and the tech support team was able to work with Yamin to get it figured out. I have never felt more important to a company that I have with Luna AI. I know I am just another customer but he made me feel like I was the most important one he had to work with. These cameras work great, are easy to operate and have wonderful features.
