    • Good quality for the price, rim & backboard install difficult
We read all of the reviews before we purchase the product and new going in that the multiple parts of the pole needed to be installed in the correct order. The instructions were clear, there is a YouTube video that was very helpful as well. The most difficult part of the install was the backboard and the rim because the backboard and the rim both attached to the pole with the same two screws so you have to hold the backboard and the rim lined up perfectly with the holes at the top of the pole and feed the bolt through all of it at the same time. It took multiple of us to line everything at and get the bolt through. Ideally it would have been easier had the rim attached to the backboard and then to the pole separately. Trying to have all of the pieces line up to get the bolt through was difficult. The bolt on the pole when putting the pole together with the multiple pieces was difficult because it doesn't fit all the way through and then screw on with a screw. You have to feed two different bolts and one from each side and then fasten them together. It's a great product for the price point and for the size that we needed. Assembly wasn't overall too difficult as long as you made sure you had all of your parts and you read all of the instructions. The YouTube video was very helpful. Little things that could change would be having a larger bolt for the pole so that you have an easier time of assembling if only one person is doing the task. And some sort of other way for the rim to attach to the backboard. But if you go into it knowing that these are the things that you'll spend the most time on, and you take your time to make sure that you do it right the first time it's a relatively easy product to put together. The instructions say it takes two to three hours for two people to put it together. My husband put the majority of it together and I helped him with the rim and the backboard since we needed two people to hold that while feeding a bolt through.     • Assembly is irreversible
I didn’t pay attention to the telescoping pole inserts (goes only in one way) and fixed everything only to find the pole assembly is irreversible. Had to cut one of the poles (top most pole) to make it work. Wish it’s made to dismantle.

Hard to imagine a better hoop for the price. EASY ASSEMBLY: It says 2-3 hours for two adults to put together. I’m an average guy who knows how to turn a wrench, and my seven year old and I got it put together in an hour and fifteen minutes from opening the box to shooting hoops, easy. The longest part was filling the base with sand (you’ll need a funnel for that). ASSEMBLY TIPS: It’s simple to put together, but the instructions are not very clear about a few things. There are three main cylindrical sections to the stand that telescope together to form one long tube. Pay close attention to the orientation of each. The printed instructions are not quite enough to distinguish between the sections, but there’s a QR code that takes you to an assembly video. Look closely at the video and you’ll see where the holes should be aligned. Get the alignment right before you tap the tubes on the ground; that step locks the tubes together. There’s a step where you bend some metal parts. Let your kid do that - they’ll feel like super man. OVERALL THOUGHTS: Remember - this hoop doesn’t have a spring, so dunks are not gonna work. The backboard is small. The whole thing isn’t super sturdy because it’s lightweight. But by golly it’s a basketball hoop, and it’s cheap, easy to move, and easy to put together!
