Well packaged, arrived one day late due to shipping company, yet, Amazon was on it and notified us about the delay. No professional packaging no Instructions. Very clean package and product. This thing is super bright, way too bright to use in a tent or camper it hurts our eyes. So bright it is almost not useful for the average situation. Even with it half closed the light still hurts eyes. So esp if you have children or elderly or need a tent light get one less bright but get one from this same company as it is well made, well designed and works. Hubby is wanting to keep it even though it hurts his eyes too. I think because it will be used in the middle of the wilderness, where there is no light but the stars for miles. When testing it I took a plastic shopping bag and put over it and that made more useful for me. Now when I placed it out side away from us and looked out the window it did light up the yard and was more comfortable to use at a distance. But when I'm around it, I will be using a shade of some sort or I would replace it for a less bright one of the same company or just buy an extra set of less bright ones. I will return it if hubby agrees, I worry about his vision. Will up date about life of battery UPDATE BATTERY LIFE: lasted at hunt camp for two nights all night and came home still bright and still not needing to recharge makes for a great flashlight when things go bump in the night.... strange neighbors that don't seem to sleep. ... show more

Got these lanterns for use during power outages in my mountain home. Love that they can be recharged, but can also use batteries! They are a bit larger than I had hoped, but the light output is well worth it. Not sure how easy they are to carry over long distances, but for use inside the home, they are pretty ideal. ... show more
