I am using this cart for simple way to roll-up, store, and access 50ft sections of 1.5” firehose. Needed to have quick access which meant good wheels and sturdiness over rural terrain. Wheels are pneumatic and good ratio to cart size and weight bearing. Hardware was good quality, assembley was simple. No issues with having to modify or work at things fitting together as you can have with cheap equipment. So while I cannot speak to garden hose use and hook up I can tell you this is well made for the price point. Better quality than Harbor Freight type stuff. Not that there is anything wrong with HF! Like so many others have mentioned I got tired of the cheap plastic carts that lasted a year, maybe two if you were lucky. I spent a day going around to Home Depot, Lowes, Sears, etc and couldn't find anything except for the cheap plastic carts. So as is becoming the norm I turn to Amazon. This cart just arrived. It took about 20-30 minutes to assemble. Assembly is a breeze if you have a good wrench set. It looks to be plenty sturdy and all the fittings are brass and very solid. It should hold up to years of usage. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was there was a burr on one of the collars that holds the axles preventing the axle from being inserted. It was a simple matter to file it down, so that is a minor disappointment, might have been major had I not had the file I needed and had to go buy one. This works really well, the wheels move easily so you can pull it where you need it to go. The hose went in easily even though I have a large heavy duty 100ft hose. The extender is also a little longer than my other making ut more convenient. I do live on the coast so I’m watching for any rust to make sure I treat it quickly, I’m betting this will last a long time! ... show more

UPDATE: So all the tires are already going flat with noticeable holes in them. Currently filling all of them on with Kevlar sealant (green slime) you put in tires. All appear to be holding air now. Did this on BOTH carts I bought. Lots of rusted water was dripping out somewhere. Found a huge rusted hole underneath. Where it has been sitting outside in the weather water must be geting into the through bolts that hold the wheel on. So would advice if bought new take out the bolts and silicone caulk all of them where the bolts go through the hollow metal tubing. Weep holes drilled underneath would have helped. And then would highly recommend paint the entire thing with rust converter spray paint. Again would do this right when you buy it. Other than that its ok but only had a year and already falling apart. Not made well for something that needs to sit outside in all kinds of weather. Bought one awhile back. Liked it so much bought a second one. Word of advice though if you get the heavy duty hose 100ft its kindly hard to roll up. But that's the hoes fault. Ask any pimp. ... show more

Very sturdy and well made and designed. Lots of ups and downs on our property and this cart makes moving the hose from place to place such a breeze. We wound up a 50 foot hose on cart and leave it on the lower level. Keep the other hose on the upper level and when needed we just hook the two together to reach the far corners.
