After using an epson 720p projector for about 10 years or so, it started making loud noises and somewhat fuzzy pictures. I have been researching and picked this one. Everything worked right out of the box, and the picture quality is really fantastic. I don't even have a screen though. I strongly recommend it. Update: After 3 months, this still performs very well, and I am very happy with the purchase. Beautiful picture quality, and a usable baseline UI. I added ROKU 4K for some apps not supported, and it works very well.

Bad investment, as other comments say, after some time of low usage in my case the projector started to turn off the picture (0-1 min into usage), audio will still keep playing and before the picture is off it would twitch the picture mode (like the colors would be saturated or yellowish and switch between normal and that). Repair is $800 flat and not guaranteed

I have to admit, we were a bit hesitant about dropping this kind of money on a projector. However, we wanted a short throw, 4k projector for our newly remodeled, outdoor covered patio. Now, we know it's not meant to be outside for long periods so we bought a short, heavy duty printer cart so we could roll the thing outside and back inside. We had an extra Roku and hooked that up too. The thing is a beast. Remember those old late 70's/early 80's VCR's? Yeah, big and heavy so not exactly ideal for mobile use. I was shocked by the image quality. You forget it's a projector the images are so crisp and sharp. The sound is good too and another feature we plan to use is the bluetooth to add some JBL outdoor speakers. It was a bit of a headache to get it all setup after we turned it on but we got through it. We don't have the wall space inside to use it without some major furniture shuffling so for now, it sits on the cart, in the family room until we want to go outside and watch it. What we wonder is how the summer humidity will affect the lens going from a/c. Will it fog up? Guess we'll find out. Overall we are very happy with our choice.

I have had four to five different front projectors but this is my first short throw one. What is good: vertical view is aligned other projectors the image vertically is not 180 degrees despite changing the v mode. The LG handles the picture well but even after trying the pictures setting modes, it still lacks the bright warm colors of the viewsonic or optomer projectors. Another thing is that it comes with four standard apps Netflix, apple TV, YouTube, Disneyplus, Amazon prime but missing HBOMax. It has a app search feature for adding more apps but no hbomax. The software is buggy, especially trying to use the internet, some of the pages hyperlinks cannot be reached with the icon mouse, this was extremely frustrating for me since I went online to download hbomax app, which I could not do. The software needs to be able to automatically work with my amplifier instead of me doing it manually each time. Since, i use the amp for audio I would say the audio output from the LG is good. Overall, I recommend buying for the price but not the best compared to the picture quality of viewsonic front projector.

The media could not be loaded. Great quality amazing picture. Feature rich with plenty of connection options. Cons: limited apps available, no way to view side load apps from outside sources. No Google play, no downloaded app. An update on this product. At 2 years the product failed completely, projector was only used on weekends and the occasional day off. After 1.25 years it started to fail occasionally loosing picture but continuing with sound, occasionally just cutting off after a few minutes of use. I am done with LG Products. At this price there should be no issues for having so few hours on the device.

Much more convenient and aesthetic than a TV, with great speakers and built in software. Setup is easy and haven't had any issues for the first few weeks we've had it. Only minor cons are that images can be hard to see if projected on a wall that gets sunlight during the day and generates quite a bit of heat.

I bought the one because it has Apple play built in and I always trusted the brand. The Xgimi Aura 4K was the other one that interested me so I bought both to compare them. I usually never do that but it was too important of a purchase this time. Conclusion: I kept the Xgimi. The level of black was much better, the skin on the face of the people was much better. The sounds quality was also much better. The remote control felt better quality being made of aluminum. The Xgimi fan is less noisy. The Xgimi boot time is much less and It looks better.

The media could not be loaded. Simply blown away by the easy set up, superb quality and brightness! We have a dedicated media room that I recently painted dark dark gray and it performs great. Mind you this is on a monterey textured wall! I am awaiting the 120inch screen to arrive and I can't wait. The speakers that it comes with sound pretty good for what it is. It's basically a sound bar and has great volume, obviously won't have too much bass but hits really well, especially music on youTube. Netflix and YouTube are built in and you have the APP store to download other apps. After doing tons of my own research (youtube videos ETC.) I decided to go with this projector. You won't regret it. 👍👍
