noisiest ac ever. Plus no matter what temp it is set it will go off again every 3-4 minutes to maintain temp. Also as we removed it from the box the face plate will not set into both sides as it pops off. one side as you attach the other. Now being held on with a piece of black gorilla tape. Very attractive. The AC works great, and the install was easy. But there was an issue with the design that leaked water and destroyed our window sill durring a couple of rainy weeks away. Though the instructions say to install the unit with a 1/2 inch differnce sloping toward the back of the unit, which I did, when I discovered the mess I took off the front of the unit to discover it dripping through a hole in the front of the drain pan. While the center of the hole is the right height, it was big enough to cause a problem over time. I put a screw in it to plug it, as pictured here. But if I had to do it again I would have pitched it 3/4 inches. And probably still put the screw in the front for good measure. ... show more

It doesn`t cool a room 14ft x 14ft. I purchased 3 units for 3 of my hotel rooms, units were having a hard time cooling the room even after 6 hours with unit in cool and lower temperature. I have used LG air conditioner for many years and they were good quality units, now something is completely different performance wise. ... show more

This LG 12k BTU replaces a Friedrich 12k that has been running continuously for 3 years. I was pleasantly surprised that the LG slid into the Friedrich 3 year old chassis perfectly. Also the LG remote perfectly controls another Friedrich I have in another room. The apparent quality of the inner components look identical to the Friedrich it replaces. The LG is ICE cold with good fan power and is noticeably quieter than the Friedrich. I would've bought the identical Friedrich if it were available and feel very lucky about the interchangeable chassis which was unexpected.
