It’s very lightweight plastic. I thought it would be larger and more of a rubberized/ silicone finish. It works fine but the controls to set the alarm are fussy and not intuitive. My mistake for not checking the size. I loved the color, but it was too small. Also, something was loose so it rattled. The bigger one I have is also easier to set. The concept and design are great though.

I have several of these. I love the ability to tap it at night and see the time backlit. I like the simplicity of not fumbling to find the alarm switch. I just turn the clock over. My only negative is that my first one broke when the up button for setting the alarm stopped working 3 weeks after I bought it. Amazon replaced it and the new one is doing fine. ... show more

    • WARNING! NOT FOR HEAVY SLEEPERS!
I received this and tested it yesterday. The alarm clock worked and it was really fun to flip. After checking that it worked, I set it for 9am the next morning. Then morning came and to me, it did not ring! It was past 9 by the time II woke up and I was like WTF. So I tested the alarm clock again and it turns out. At the designated alarm time it will ring for 2 minutes and then just turn off if you didn't hear it or am a heavy sleeper like me, it will only ring for 2 minutes and then never again. I tested this, I set an alarm time and then let it ring and then I waited for half an hour and nope, nothing. After 2 minutes it just shuts off the alarm and there is no secondary ring. So if you're a heavy sleeper and you didn't hear that bell the first time, it ain't going to try to wake you up again. Super cute, but NOPE DOESN'T WORK FOR ME. Hope this review helps others. I think I'll just use it as a timer from now on. I still love the way it looks, I wish it worked for me. I only put one star, so people can see the warning. Great product product in theory. This was originally purchased by accident and after no response from seller in two weeks when trying to return the product, I decided it was fate and opened the box. It came with batteries which was great. Very easy to set up and simple to use. The “Off” side of our clock has a couple defective lights which is a real bummer. I bought it to replace a similar alarm clock that died after about seven years use. Easy to program, numbers are clear, and it now uses the more easily available AAA batteries than the AAAA in the previous model.
