Reasonably bright. Cute. Has a dimmer function. I saw some people complaining that it has to be plugged in to a wall, but it only needs to be plugged in to charge and then you can unplug it if you want to. Also, you know...having to plug a lamp into a wall is kind of...normal... Anyway, it's true that the charge doesn't last long, but that works for me because I keep it on my night stand which has a couple of plugs on it. I could keep it plugged in all the time if I wanted to, and I do sometimes. But when the power goes out, it's nice to unplug it and put it in odd places like the bathroom. In total darkness, it lights up a room similar to a three-wick candle from bath and body works, so I like that it has a rechargeable battery and can be moved around since I live in hurricane country. It's small, but not disappointingly so. A bit bigger than your average coffee cup. I've dropped it on the floor a couple times and had absolutely no problems.
