I fished this combo hard in early spring this year. I have caught many bass on this rig and it has performed absolutely flawless. It is one of my favorite rigs thusfar. No problem hauling in big bass with this rig, It is definitely up for the job. Great product.

    • Don’t buy off here
I bought one off here but got impatient with waiting so I went and supported a local bait shop that had them. They are an amazing Ron and feel combo but the one I bought on here came in broken a foot and a half of the rod was broken off. Glad I bought the other when I did, was thinking about keeping it to have a second bait caster so I didn’t have to go through and tune it everytime I switch lures. As a product it is the 5 stars but handling it I could give negative I would that’s completely unacceptable and I returned it for the refund.     • Rod snapped the first time I tried to use it....But
Rod tip snapped the first time I tried it out little frustrating was sent a new one the next day the customer service was amazing. Been using for couple of years now heavily, best rod I've ever had. Mostly fish salt or brackish water so on many occasions I'm reeling in fish that are 2-3 times the weight the rod is rated for amazing. ... show more

Right hand Mach 2 7' combo was delivered this afternoon. Arrived on time and in perfect condition. I will get it rigged up later this evening. I already own a Mach Crush Baitcasting combo, so I am not at all worried about how it will perform. Hoping to take it out tomorrow morning depending on the weather. I was a little disappointed with the quality of the reel. The reel was very plasticy and not as smooth as I thought it would be based on reviews and videos. The handle on mine was bent causing the drag start to bind with the handle. This could have been due to damage during shipping. After bending the handle back how it should have been, it was pretty nice. My Lew’s tournament MP is much better quality and seems like you can get it for cheaper then the Mach 2. This combo is the sexiest combo I think and still handles nicely. I think I had higher hopes in the quality of material for the reel. I still recommend this product but in all honesty it should be less expensive based on it being plasticy. ... show more

Love this! I was looking to upgrade my bait caster for some time and I knew I wanted Lews. Found this combo for way less than to buy both separately. Reel is like butter and casts great! First fish caught was a stud of a smallie and it handled her like a champ! Big fan of Lews and this combo setup!
