I ordered a couple of these combo packs for my family's Christmas. We hadn't had a chance to really use them until this week (July), so the window to return is firmly closed. My husband took our sons to the family fish pond yesterday to do a little clean-up. They fished during breaks. My youngest (14) son's pole snapped in two on his first fish. Most likely it was a large mouth bass he lost, so it was well within the weight range. He loves to fish and is very disappointed. At least he has his old pole he can still use.
