Never heard of this brand till I went on temu. Now I'm loving thier reels and rods and variety of chooses they got. Went and got another exact same combo cause my kid stole claimed it due to its flashy appearance. Super smooth and lightweight. Have been using a 1000 and 3000 for about a month and it's holding up. This is a good quality rod and reel combo. I really like the spinning rod but find that the reel has a bit more friction than I expect from a new reel. Maybe I will have to figure out how to lube the gears to free it up. Good value for this price point.

So I need to preface this by saying I have not had a chance to throw a line in the water yet... when I do so I will try to remember to give an update of my review, but the lakes in Wisconsin are still frozen over. In my case I ordered the 2.1m rod as I have a 1.8m already. Out of the box I really liked the look of the rod - very sleek but kind of fun, and the spinner is a deep green color. This actually comes with the two pieces of the rod inside of a sleeve as well, which will be super handy for traveling (honestly, I was gonna buy a sleeve or two for an upcoming trip - glad I procrastinated on that! Note to seller - update your description to show this and tell people it's included, it will be appreciated.) The sleeve is for the two pieces of the pole and doesn't accommodate the reel, but for my use that's perfect - when I travel I plan to unthread the line and break the pole down, anyway, and at that point the reel is easy to remove and fits in my tackle box. At home the sleeve will go in the cabinet and the pole stays together and ready for use at any moment. The poles themselves seem well built with the rings solidly attached, an easy-to-use attachment system for the reel, and comfortable handles. The reel also seems very well built and is nice and solid. Out of the box the handle for the reel was not attached but is very easily done so... outside of me then questioning (and going down the YouTube rabbit hole) which hand should do the cranking and which should hold the pole. One thing to note, particularly for beginners, the instructions are decent in spooling fishing line and stringing through the rings, but they do not say how to attach the handle to the reel nor the reel to the rod. Both those steps are actually quite easy and intuitive, but if you aren't sure, Google/YouTube it or ask a more experience fisherperson. 20 minutes later I stepped away from the computer, attached the handle, attached it to the pole, wound up some fishing line and proceeded to cast a weight into various snowbanks in my yard for 30 minutes. As expected I did not hook any fish so couldn't really test the drag, but it cast and cranked very nice and felt good in my hands. I'm super excited to take it out on the water soon and then to Canada this summer. Based on how much I've played with it thus far, I definitely recommend this - it's a good price for a decent pole and solid reel. ... show more
