Another update: All fans, very quickly make irritating humming/clicking noises even on lowest setting. I have two brand new ones and they both make these noises. Update: I just bought another one for my craft room! Original: This fan is amazing. I live in the desert and have no a/c. It really helps. It’s relatively quiet on the lowest setting and not quiet on the highest setting. But, it does help keep me cool. I have one in my bedroom and one in my living room, and bought one for my daughter. And recommended to others. I did have an issue with one fan making a clicking sound. I contacted Levoit’s customer support directly on their website, and they sent me a replacement. Bought for Master Bedroom after reading reviews/comparisons. Hoped it would be quiet which it was on day 1. However by day two (about 18 hrs of continuous use) it began to click/pop for each rotation cycle. It is either improperly lubed from factory or poorly designed. Seems to be plastic parts rubbing with no lube or firm bearing surface such that it makes noise. Very gentle breeze, even at the highest setting. I like oscillating, but not for this fan, had to leave it aimed at me the whole time to feel a light breeze. Not sure what other people consider “turbo” but this fan does not get even close. I'm imaging that becasue multiple models are reviewed the aggregate stars for this item, the mini, are inflated. It is quiet. It is attractive. But on its highest setting four feet away I barely feel a flutter of a breeze. I've got a Dr Prepare half its price killing it on the other side if the room so it is not fan style I object to. I also hate the digital button pushing. The indication that I am at max setting is a hard to see light display that doesn't show after a few seconds. Everytime I touch it it powers back to level 1 (and I mean touch it not the control panel). I hate it and its going back. ... show more

The Pros: 1. Fan is really nice and modern looking, 2. It’s VERY quiet, 3. It has 5 speed options The CONS: 1. Even with. 5 speeds ONLY speed 5 feels like it is blowing/moving air, 2. Based on #1 con, it didn’t work for me, since I purchased this specifically to use while I cycled on my trainer and it provided little to no air relief the one time I tried it. It's good overall but off the bat the level 1 and level 2 fan speeds have a rackety/junky noise that is quite unpleasant. Level 3+ are smooth sounding though. For the money, I wish it didn't feel crappy already. I like that it can spin very fast or very slow... My last fans lowest speed was way too fast - with this it can go pretty slow, although it sounds broken already like I said. I like the menu features like turning off the noise or turning off the screen. EDIT: Actually im hearing it more now even at fan speed 3. Love the fan overall but dang, it's already embarrassing sounding! ... show more

Worst fan I’ve ever bought. It cools down okay, but the amount of times I’ve knocked it over from the base is ridiculous. Maybe I’m missing a way to attach it, but then I don’t think it would oscillate. It’s very unstable and I don’t always wanna grab the remote to control it. If you’re looking for something that blows cold air do not buy, it just blows whatever's in the room. Works like any other fan, the up charge is just for it looking modern and having a remote control. Just buy an AC if your putting it off
