At first, I mixed it with cold water. Big mistake. It turned out grainy and separated, and I struggled to drink it. I then blended it with plant milk, warmed it in the microwave, and had it warm over cereal or oats. It was perfect. Creamy, filling, and not overly sweet. I'm full for hours. I got an email from Levels today saying they're about to increase their prices, so I'm about to buy a big tub before August, not sure what I'll do after that....

I had to switch to this protein powder because it’s the only one I can find without sucrose. Be careful of those advertising “sweetened with Stevia” because when it arrives, you’ll see it also has Sucralose. I should have known because they don’t show a picture of the ingredients. Sucralose makes my knees hurt and that’s what made me read the ingredients. Sure enough, there it was right along with the stevia. This is more bland tasting so I add a splash of keto syrup to it. It mixes very easily, no clumps and the ingredients are very clean.

So, I do recommend this product, but do NOT buy it from Amazon and buy it directly from the Levels website to avoid wasting your money on stale products. I have bought the 2lb tub from Amazon on repeat in the past, it has been a pantry staple. That is until this last time where I finally decided to get the 4lb tub. The 4lb tub is completely stale and inedible. I contacted Levels support, and they cannot issue refunds for Amazon issued products. I suspect that the product got overheated or something in Amazon’s storage or transport system. Lesson learned: Buy directly from the Levels website, they have product guarantees and full support there. That aside, Levels Vanilla Casein protein powder is amazing. I cannot process much fake sugar, and there is very minimal in here. It packs a fantastic protein punch— 24g of protein for 100 calories is unbeatable. The vanilla flavor is very versatile, great as just a protein drink, blended into smoothies, and perfect for protein baking where I usually use equal parts of whey and casein.

I like the Levels products for simplicity and cleanliness. Feels like a solid brand. No added fluff. My body seems to digest it. I take it when I need to feel full either before bed or between meals on my weight loss/strength training goals. I mix with water for ease The two issues…. 1. A little grainy. Even if I mix it for a long time in a shaker bottle standard size it has a little bit of grit to it. The more water/liquid. I add the better it mixes and dissolves. But if I do a standard 12 ounce shake shaker, there’s still a fair amount of grit. 2. Taste. I went with the vanilla. I get a hint of almost dirt flavor. Decent vanilla than an earthy aftertaste. So far I’m the only one that tasted this so it’s probably me but just aI get a hint of almost dirt flavor. Decent vanilla than a earthy aftertaste. The Vanilla is too sweet for me. I used to buy the Unflavored Casein to add to my morning oatmeal, and that worked beautifully for years. But they appear to have discontinued that. Bought the Vanilla to try it (in oatmeal), and it is far too sweet and my stomach reacted poorly to it. If anyone from Levels is reading this, use either Monkfruit OR Stevia, not both. AND BRING BACK THE UNFLAVORED CASEIN! I've also bought the Chocolate flavor, and it is also fairly sweet, but makes good Hot Chocolate when you add 100% Cocoa powder to your mix. Not viable for oatmeal though.
