I installed the Level lock and Connect kit myself and it was super easy and beginner friendly! This lock is very well made and sturdy. I LOVE the features it provides, you can access your home with the key cards that are provided, you can unlock it using the level app on your phone and it also gives you normal keys which I love because it does look like a traditional lock!!     • ### Short Battery Life and Frequent Jamming: Level Smart Lock Disappoints
I recently purchased the Level Smart Lock, expecting the convenience and security it promised. Unfortunately, my experience has been far from satisfactory. Firstly, the initial unit malfunctioned shortly after installation. After contacting customer support, I received a replacement, hoping for better performance. However, the issues persisted. The battery life is a significant letdown. While most smart locks boast a battery life of around six months, the Level Smart Lock barely lasts two weeks. Constantly replacing the battery is both inconvenient and costly. Additionally, the lock frequently gets jammed, making it unreliable. I’ve had several instances where the lock failed to engage or disengage smoothly, causing frustration and concern about its dependability. Overall, the Level Smart Lock has proven to be more trouble than it’s worth. I cannot recommend it based on my experience with its poor battery life and frequent jamming issues. ... show more

This thing has not worked properly/consistently since day ONE! It’s very finicky and works for some of my people (but not for all) when it wants to (and sometimes even when we don’t WANT it to….in other words, it seems to have a mind of its own). I ordered this on April 17 and it's now June 18, so I've had it for just about two months. I ordered it to replace my Nest lock that was starting to go bad. It was very easy to install and configure and honestly I've had no trouble at all with it. I've experienced none of the connectivity trouble that other people have complained about, though my Connect device is in very close proximity (on the other side of a half wall about 3-4 feet away). I use it with Homekit and it works perfectly every time. I have no complaints at all. Just pay attention to the instructions when you install, especially with the battery - there's no indication on the lock of which direction you insert the battery, but the instructions tell you. ... show more

I was really hoping this would be a great lock. It’s got a great form factor and feel. But unfortunately the tech just doesn’t work yet. I’m highly technical so I know what I’m doing. The connect device was less than 5 feet from the lock, unfortunately, it lost connection a lot. About 80% of the time I was unable to unlock the door with my phone. I opened a support ticket and went back and forth with them for 3 weeks!!! At this price, I expect the product to work better than this. Hopefully version 2 will be better. ... show more
