elecrician to install this device unless you have an old active socked which you can access. Remember this requires a 240 volt 40 amp working socket. These use to be installed in older homes for clothes dryers. Now they are all 110 volts. I had no breakers available in my panel. But we did find the old 240 wires which were still hot in the panel. The electrician was able to work with those wires and install the socket. The socket now sits behind the wall where the circuit breakers live. So far the charger appears to be working well. We were trying to use an adapteer for the Tesla charger we also have. It did work but then stop and we probably kept checking the car every thirty minutes to see if the car was still charging. That was too painful to use. We went throiugh five different manufactures and the tesla adapters kept doing the same thing. Charging at the dealership works and is free (IONIC 5). In summary this charger works well so far. It does need professional installation unless you already have the 240 volt socket open. Installation by electrician cost me about $700. I had one estimate for $2500 which I though was outrageously high.

Much better made than my original Volvo charger. Cable is much bigger and barely gets warm at 16A. Charges much faster. The language in the ad should be clearer about the required 115.V adaptor.

Customer service was able to resolve my issue and the charger works well. It’s able to charge the Chevy volt EV (gen 1) is like 3 hours. It’s much nicer than the OEM

It charges faster than the 16 amp chargers that I owned. The 32 amp charger will charge 4x faster than a regular charger.

The product works but the problem I have is the once we connect it to the car, it won't switch to charge mode. I have to remove the plug and then re-insert for it to start charging.

The charger works well and wasn't hard to install but it is meant to be portable so it doesn't mount on the wall easily. I used a u bracket and it worked well.
