  • Excellent mid-range system for an incredible price
This is a mid-range system for basic computing needs: MS Office, Web browsing, etc. I'm completely satisfied with it so far. I looked at Dell, HP, CyberpowerPC, and Acer, and this model from Lenovo was the top choice. It came with a 512 GB SSD (Solid State Drive for those of you who don't know; never buy a computer with a slow hard disk ever again!), an AMD Ryzen 5 1400, and a discrete AMD graphics card. I haven't tried playing games on this, but I'm sure it will perform well enough for most games. (If you want a gaming machine, wait a few weeks for the AMD Threadripper 2990X CPU to be released. It's supposed to be 50% faster than the fastest Intel processor.) ... show more

  • Best deal on a power tower I have found
This tower is fast enough for 3D modeling and 4K video editing. We had a couple issues, but they took care of us.

  • Nice computer
This computer is very fast compared to my old one. I think the price was also very good for comparable models of other brands. It also came with mouse and keyboard which was a bonus.

  • Great price point for a good computer
The organization I work for recently purchased 21 of these computers for a lab we are in the process of upgrading. If you want the short version of my review, I think these computers are simply fantastic, but you may want to steer clear if you have a lot of extra peripherals or you plan add additional components. See below for details. I've always been happy with Lenovo products and these computers continued that legacy right out of the box. The aesthetic design is simple but elegant. I love the brushed aluminum look of the plastic front panel. If you're looking for something that looks nice, but is otherwise unassuming, this computer might be for you. Let's talk components! This product is my first foray into AMD's Ryzen CPUs. It's only been a few weeks, but I haven't been disappointed. No need to run ten thousand cores. This computer gets the job done right out of the box with only four (plus its four logical processors). 8 GB of memory is pretty standard nowadays. It gets the job done here. The SSD is exactly how I expected it to be: lightning fast. I can't say much for the graphics card because my organization immediately replaced it with an Nividea GT 1030 in all of our machines. I was pleased to see that the case has enough room to accommodate a decent-sized graphics card. Don't bring your dual-fan, liquid-cooled GTX 1080, though. Overall, if you're looking for a decent business computer, this machine will probably work for you, but before you buy, you may want to also consider my following list of complaints: Perhaps my biggest complaint is the product's lack of USB ports. I was beside myself when I saw that the rear of the computer only featured two USB ports while including a serial (COM) port. Welcome to 2002, ladies and gentlemen. Remarkably, the front panel features four USB ports (two USB 3.0 & two USB 2.0). Take two of those suckers and slap them on the back next time, Lenovo. My guess is that this was an effort to cut costs. And to be fair, many people aren't going to be using more than two rear USB ports since Bluetooth peripherals are so accessible today. In a lab setting, however, where each computer has a wired mouse and keyboard, the ports were instantly maxed out. Another complaint that I have with this product is its lack of interior customization ability. The only available SATA ports are taken up by the system's SSD and DVD drive, so don't expect to add a second hard drive, not that there would be room anyway, as the case only features a slot for one hard drive/SSD. The motherboard includes both a PCI-e and PCI-e x1 slot. I wish they would've switched their placement around, because as soon as you slap in your own mid-sized graphics card, you'll forever loose access to the x1 port. It's a shame. I would have liked to use the second slot for a card that would add extra USB ports. Oh, well. Also, while we're on the theme of the lack of customization ability, keep in mind that there are zero extra power connectors coming from the power supply. Lenovo didn't even throw is a rouge Molex connector. This means that any graphics card you add will need to be powered only by the PCI-e port. This also means that you probably won't be adding any extra hard drives, but you already knew this because of other reasons mentioned above. Finally, the DVD drive is meh. It's at least functional, but is otherwise nothing to write home about. I've used it to burn a few ISOs to discs now. Write speeds seemed super slow, but all of my finished discs worked, so no major complaint here. I personally don't miss Blu-ray functionality, but keep in mind these drives will only play/write DVDs and CDs. Leave your high def video collection in the living room, folks. While I appear to have spent the majority of this review on this product's cons, it is worth noting that I consider all of my complaints minor. We've been running 21 of these in our lab for almost two weeks now with no issues (they're even used by kids!). If you're considering buying one of these, I recommend looking at my list of complaints to see if any of them are deal-breakers for you. If not, click that "Add to Cart" button. I don't think you'll be disappointed. EDIT (8/29/18): These computers don't include any case fans (only one on the CPU and one on the processor), so they tend to run pretty hot. We added one fan to the rear and it has helped considerably. I wish Lenovo would have just increased the price another $10 and included a fan. ... show more
