First thing! This tablet is an amazing little thing IF you want it for the right use case. This is NOT a powerhouse tablet. What it IS though is a great side, or extra tablet. If you want to stream a movie or a show(Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Video, Pluto, Tubi or the like). This is great! It might not be 4K 244hz, but it won't be painful to watch(pump the brightness). For me, this tablet is a great little thing to have on the nightstand. Want to listen to an audiobook for bed? Perfect! Want to stream a relaxing YouTube video? Awesome! Need to look up that thing on the internet, check the weather, or take a quick note? Amazing! Want to play a game? ehhhh Want to play that AAA mobile game? Negative Ghost Rider! It might run some low end casual games. I currently run 'Unnamed Space Idle'(yes an idle game) on it every so often. But it does take some time to load and does lag occasionally. It's not even a really visually intensive game. It's marginally above a text story game, like in the movie 'Big'. Pros: -Screen is, enough for general use -It's light, and not a really heavy device -Wifi 2.4 and 5ghz -Within reason, pretty snappy too!(you MUST remove the bloatware and the Google/Lenovo apps you do not need. That takes a while :( -The included folio case is decent. The 'stand' notch, the tablet sits in when you prop it up in the case, could be a smidge bigger. Any touch of the tablet and it tends to slide. -Dig the headphone jack is Awesome! Cons: -Password, pattern, or pin to unlock (we're not talking about facial scan.) A fingerprint reader would have been amazing! -While you can set a general 'charge limit' this only works if the table is on. The charge limit keeps the battery between 40% and 60% charged. Which is swell, since it's for if the tablet is plugged in a lot, it helps save the battery's lifespan a bit. IF you have the tablet fully powered off, and plug it in, the battery will charge to 100% If simple, light tasks are your jam, this would be a great buy if you can get it under....$130USD! I would recommend investing in a 128GB(~$40) or 256GB(~$60) for any media(movies, music, apps). The base 128GB storage will go faster than you think. I may not recommend this for mom/dad or the grandparents. The cameras are not great so video calling won't be a great experience. A higer end model would probably be better.

I read the negative reviews as well as watched some YouTube videos before making the purchase. The videos I watched impressed me with how smooth and quick this tablet responded compared to others at this price range. To my surprise, it runs rather quick, although I can see why some would possibly think its slow because of all the bloatware apps it comes with.....however, once you uninstall those, do some minor tweaks like remove animations in the developer menu, this tablet comes to life. The downside to this tablet so far that I've come across is it's not very bright, but indoors that won't matter, and the other downside is that it can't handle 60 fps videos. But honestly, 30 fps videos look just fine and for the price, I can't say it's a negative. It does handle 1080p, 1440p and 4K videos fine, but only at 24-30 fps. If I had to compare this to other tablets, I would say do NOT buy any others at this price range. This tablet smokes them in performance/speed/responsiveness by a landslide. With how fast it responds, I would say this tablet "feels" like it would be in the $200-$250+ price range. I've tried Samsungs A6 and A7 tablets before, and this Lenovo tablet is still way better than those were. Even with only 4GB of RAM, you would think this tablet has more. Battery life seems pretty good as well, even better than other tablets I tried in the past that had a bigger capacity. And the sound I would say is pretty good as well. Cranked up to max, I didn't hear any distortions. All and all, this tablet is a gem for the price. I would highly recommend it to anyone not wanting to go over $100.

Let's start with the bad... SD card but few games load right from the card if any. Very little documentation on that. The rest-This is a tablet for download of music, books, and Movie streaming (or if you have ability to download for say a car trip outside of Los Angeles where there's no signal, or a flight). Perfect size for that book and very clean interface, starts with Android 14 but will update you to 15 when you connect, you just need to update it. You won't find many other Tablets like this at this size other than the Samsung A series which is fine but lacking the battery life that this unit beats the others on. Lenovo's philosophy of less is more is here, minimal junk and an easy interface but I would watch a few videos on YT about the OS if you're new to it. For games , I'd recommend loading just 3-5 games you like because the memory will fill up fast. After you've had enough let them rest on the "cloud" uninstall and play others. This is really more of a Kindle Amazon and epub that does an excellent job, for hard core gaming, this isn't it. Google has implemented an easier interface recently that makes it quicker to sign on to services you already subscribe to much like Apple's. There's a lot of customization here and I gotta be honest I'm not an android fan but since Mac Mini's are pretty expensive and my larger than life 12.9 iPad Pro is a handful, I think this fits a perfect reader. Sound is pretty good too, if paired with a headset or the Bose Soundlink which fills the room-Great for parties. This includes a travel case that's pretty sturdy and easy to remove when you just want to hold the tablet in your hand.

Update: This tablet is still amazing. I've had it for sometime now and I have no complaints at all. It still works great for reading and light browsing on the web. I have not noticed any stutter unless I have a bunch of tabs open on my browser. Like I stated before remove all non essential apps that you don't plan on using and you'll be fine. The battery is amazing and charges fast and will last for days when not in use. For this price point this is an amazing affordable tablet. I was honestly surprised with how decent this tablet is. It’s not the strongest piece of equipment but for the price it works quite well. It took a little bit to turn off some of the default apps that I don’t plan on using, but once I got all the non essential apps disabled or uninstalled it seemed quite snappy. Even browsing the web is pretty responsive as long as you don’t have 10+ tabs open. Original: The main reason I got this tablet was because my old kindles battery started expanding and pushing the screen out so I mainly plan on using it for kindle reading and reading some manga. The screen is bright enough and the letters and images are crisp. Honestly it is a step up from the kindle that I have had since 2020. I can’t say anything about the battery yet (reason being I’ve only had it for a day) but so far it seems like as long as I don’t have the brightness turned up all the way the battery will be more then sufficient for what I’m asking from the tablet. The WiFi strength is honestly better than my old kindle, that thing struggled to work on 5ghz in my bedroom and this thing works just fine. If you plan on using this tablet for gaming I would look for something a little more powerful (sad to say the 8 inch size is hard to find with a good cpu/ram) but for a kindle alternative it works amazing.

I did an impulse purchase the last time Amazon dropped the price of this Lenovo Tab One tablet. It's 8.7-inch screen and one pound weight (with case) is what enticed me to buy it. I wanted something with a bigger screen than my phone, but considerably lighter (and smaller) than my powerful 12-inch OnePlus tablet. Something I can easily hold with one hand for general email, news, and social media browsing as well as light gaming. The form factor of this Lenovo Tab One fits my needs perfectly. After using it for this past week, here is my brief review: 1. Screen - its 1340 x 800 resolution looks better than I anticipated. Great vibrant colors and sufficient brightness. Good touch response. Split screen function works fine to run/view two apps at same time. 2. Sound - decent, about what you'd expect for a tablet this size. There is a dedicated headphone jack if you want to hear the bass. 3. Battery - using it all day, I've not dropped below 30% charge. More than enough for my needs. 4. Cameras - 8MP rear camera does fine, but does not compare to my Pixel 10 Pro. The 2MP front camera works great for facial recognition, making it super easy to log onto the tablet. 5. Software - Android 14 out of the box but automatically updated to Android 15 after setting it up (that's as high as Lenovo plans on taking it). Lenovo will support quarterly security updates through 3/14/27 so you can plan on replacing this tablet at the end of 2027 if you want to stay safe. 6. Performance - seems snappy at all the basic tasks and runs every app I need (including a few basic games) without any problems or slowdowns. 4GB of computer memory, so don't expect miracles with large games. 7. Expandability - I inserted a 128GB microSD card to supplement the 64GB of built-in storage, so I have plenty of on-board storage. 8. Case - the included folio case is fine. You can use it to hold the tablet up like a laptop screen if needed. The cover, when folded over and back makes a convenient handhold for the tablet. Summary: This Lenovo Tab One tablet turned out to fit my needs perfectly and, for the price, delivers a significantly more polished experience than I was anticipating. This is one impulse purchase that worked out very well.

I was using my super old iPhone as a little tv in bed for when I want to keep watching something but don’t want the tv on. Weird? Probably, but whatever. The phone’s iOS is finally old enough where some of my tv/movie apps won’t update. I was looking at an iPad mini but geez that’s some cheese to pay. I’m not an Apple weirdo who only wants one brand of tech and this Lenovo caught my eye with the price. It’s a similar size to an iPad mini so I figured I’d give it a shot. It feels good in the hand, it’s fast, the battery life seems to be good, and it’s easy to set up. I do really like that I can add an SD card to get more capacity out of it. Take that, Apple! It comes with a lot of apps I don’t use/didn’t want so I spent some time deleting them, but what tech doesn’t come with stuff you don’t want? Being used to the iPhone iOS I had to figure out Android, but that didn’t take long. The picture quality and graphic quality is very good. The dual speakers are clear and loud enough for the size. It’s got a 3.5mm jack and a slot for an SD. A mini SD I think, but I’ve not checked. I think the description mentions that. I like how this came with a case and I bought a screen protector to put on. I’ve not tried the camera yet, but I’m sure it’s fine. I like it, I’d buy it again 👍🏻

This is a nice and inexpensive little device. Easy to carry. The battery life is good. My only complaint is the lack of Amazon shopping app. My main reason for picking this tablet over a Kindle Fire is the avvess to the Google app store. Amazon app store has very limited selections and most of the Google apps downloaded from the Amazon app store are awful. So, with this Lenovo tablet, I thought I can have access to all the apps in the Google apps store. Well, that turns out to be mostly true. I was able to get all the Google apps and other apps I normally used on my Android phone. However, I'm not able to get the Amazon shopping app. Based on what I was able to learn from Internet, there is no easy way around this issue. This is very annoying. I'm not sure if there are apps from the Google apps store not available for the Lenovo tablet. Aside from this issue, this tablet has been a great little device.
