  • Purchased from Skytech
Bought this to replace an aging pc I'd had for over a decade. Decided on this one because of the specs and price. Came as described with all the listed components. Booted up and was running within 15 minutes basically. Unhooked the led lights on the front of the case as I'm not a fan of those, didn't use the keyboard as I prefer a Media one with volume controls etc. Mouse seemed Ok but the cable was just not long enough for how I have my desk setup but will make a nice backup in case I need one. very pleased with this as while just doing youtube ,twitch etc it's very very quiet. Haven't installed any games so can't comment on how it would handle those. Does have a ATX power supply so if that needs replacing in the future I won't have to purchase a brand specific proprietary one. ... show more

  • BUY ANYTHING ELSE
I got it on time and it was packaged very well. The lights on the front of it were cool and worked really well. Thats all the good I can say about the computer. The fans while quite, dont draw any air but its not getting hot so i guess they are doing something. However when trying to play a game, Like Hogwarts Legacy, or even something smaller like Among Us, the display will shut off but the computer is still on, then the fans kick in to overdrive and the thing sounds like its about to explode, You have no choice but to turn it off by the main power button, when you turn it back on its okay for a little bit and you can watch netflix or peacock, but not games. However after I tried another game the display has gone out all together. Just a black screen. I know i got a cheap computer but come on...dont buy this and just save up a little more and go to APEX gaming computers. They will personally make sure your computer works BEFORE sending it to you. Im glad amazon has customer service cause the sellers of this PC never got back to me on my issue. I'm getting a refund and you should save your money. ... show more

  • Exactly what I needed (and when parts has issues, customer service was excellent)
When it first arrived, I was disheartened as one of the drives had bad sectors, and the GPU was leaving green horizontal lines on the monitor (drivers were not taking). I spoke to Amazon first, who helped me contact RefurbChoice. They replied immediately, called when promised, and helped my spouse and I (the computer is for them for art and gaming) make sure we'd checked everything thoroughly, and determined to send a new drive and card, and they would provide an envelope to return the non-functional items. Three days later, the card and drive arrived, and work perfectly! This is everything it said it would be, and the customer service was excellent when things weren't perfect out of the box. Absolutely worth it, even though I was worried at first. Even better, since the original GPU was large, they replaced it with a mini version of the same type, which frees up more space and makes pulling the GPU easier. Thanks! ... show more

  • Great, but with a Couple Caveats Great, but with a Couple Caveats
I was looking for a new PC after the one I currently have started to act a bit finicky after owning it for a few years. I was looking for something I could use to run some intensive programs like FL Studio (music DAW) and DaVinci Resolve (video editor), so I thought this one with it's specs would be able to handle the job with no problem, and it has delivered on that front. It has vastly outperformed the last one with every task I've thrown at it. I also got it because I wanted to finally try using an external graphics card for games rather than just onboard graphics from a CPU, which is how I've done it for years. I didn't realize how drastic of a difference it would actually make. Before, I would play games that were at least 5 years old, and they would struggle on the absolute lowest settings. Now I can put those same games (and newer ones) on the highest settings possible, and it doesn't even stutter. Like other reviewers have mentioned, the inside of the PC looks flawless. Also, it was shipped with expanding foam inside so no parts can come loose/break during shipping, which was nice. I haven't tested the keyboard and mouse, as I already have 2 mechanical keyboards and a nice Logitech mouse. Both seem to not be that great of quality, which I expected. However, they are nicer than something you'd get at Walmart for cheap. There are a couple negative things I'd like to mention. The first being that it showed up in worse condition than described externally. There is a gash on the top left of one of the sides of the case, a few smaller scratches elsewhere, and some gunk around the power button, and is just a bit dirty in general. It is very visible at 5 feet away, let alone the described 12 inches. I really don't mind much, I can clean the gunk, and I have it inside a desk so I'll never really see the imperfections anyway. Another thing is that the processor (which my PC says is an i5 4670) it is not compatible to update to Windows 11. I don't mind for now, but when Windows 10 has support dropped in 2025, I will either need to upgrade both the motherboard and the processor, or just buy a whole new PC. I wish I could just upgrade the processor, but none of the Windows 11-compatible processors fit the slot that this one uses (LGA 1150), so I would need to buy a new motherboard as well. I wish I knew that beforehand, but that was my fault. If you're looking to update eventually and don't want to upgrade those, I would think before you buy. Hopefully Microsoft will extend the deadline for ending support. Overall, if the previously mentioned issues are something you are okay with, I think it's definitely a fantastic buy. It seems like a great value, especially being priced at under $400. Sure there are some flaws, but I think with how good everything else is, I can overlook them. ... show more

  • works great for gaming, fast, quiet, and literally like new
I bought this to run many PC games that won't run on my other machines with on board graphics (HP & Dell). THis one runs every CoD game so far without any issues. the keyboard is cheap and you can turn the colors on or off using Alt+Scroll lock, and the case lights can be dimmed or turned off with the included remote control. Overall, This thing is fast, quiet, and does more than most of the sub $300 refurbs. Oh, and this looked brand spanking new inside, not a spot on anything, almost as if it was surplus or assembled from leftover parts? Either way, I highly doubt this was ever used or owned by anyone previously. ... show more

  • ok... not sure this is a real Gaming PC
I didnt really buy this for real gaming. I needed a desktop while I rebuild my real gaming set ups. this PC SHOULD have at least modest gaming capabilities, but, it can slow down to a crawl, simply from a lot of browsing and emails. as in. waiting for letters to appear on the page while typing. thats just ridiculous and unacceptably BAD performance, for a so called " Gaming" computer. i have had to get some tips on how to clear out ALL the temp file history, as in NO time, this computer was running slow. and no. i hadnt even installed any games on it.. and may not bother. not sure why this is struggling, its acting like it has 4GB of memory, not 32GB.. and as if its an old "on board-shared RAM:" graphics set up, not an actual modestly decent graphics card. this PC underperforms as it is. not sure i want to "tax it" with real games. fine for a student, working at home, casual computing, but, i wouldnt buy it for REAL gaming, ala "Halo infinite", "Call of Duty".." Battlefield" or any racing sim.. just dont see it handling them very well. price wise, its actually a bargain. but, somehow seriously under performs, given its specs. ... show more

  • "Refurbished" - with parts that are over ten years old!
I bought this computer in Feb 2023 and I'm writing this review in Sep 2024. Recently, the little plugin WiFi adapter has started failing intermittently and then died; we switched to Ethernet. Then we noticed that the harddisk was very slow. I looked at the harddisk diagnostics; it was 50C warm, and it showed that it had something like 85,000 operating hours. I thought this must be a mistake, since the PC is only 18 months old, but 85,000 hours is 10 years. Sure enough, when I took the computer apart, the harddisk was hot, and the manufacturer label said "Feb-2012". Now this is a refurbished computer, but I'm still surprised that they would use a disk that is 10 years old has been operational most of this time, probably somewhere in a data center. I'm getting a new hard-disk, and next time not a refurbished Lenovo. ... show more

  • Great value on a gaming PC
Was a little hesitant at first in considering a refurbished PC but the memory, storage, and pure power of the graphics accelerator was a great value. The case is larger than most desktops but it is out of sight anyway. Buying a new computer with this power and speed would have cost upwards of 2k so happy with the decision. Some other reviews have commented on loud fans when playing graphics intensive FPS games but I have not experienced this. Playing COD MW2 at the highest graphics detail with no loud fan or reduction in performance. ... show more
